Earn double BAA WorldPoints until 9th September

If you are a BAA WorldPoints member, you should have had an email telling you that you can earn double points on transactions between 2nd July and 9th September.
What this actually means, based on last Summer when this also ran, is that if you are already on the double points rate (for spending over £500 last year or so far this year) then you get this doubled as well, so 4 points per £1 spent. Which isn’t bad.
If you are not a member, this link (link deleted) gives you 600 points when you sign up spend £30 before the end of the year. That is good for 500 Avios, or 750 if you convert to BMI and then across to BAEC (which obviously is the way to go!).
If you received a £10 money-off voucher for World Duty Free from American Express recently, as many Amex Platinum and BA cardholders did, you’ll do even better, as WorldPoints award points based on the transaction value BEFORE discount.
Spend £10 on chocolate and you’ll pay exactly £0 for it and still receive 20 WorldPoints, or 40 if you are on double points already!
