Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Double miles with the Lloyds TSB Duo and Premium Duo Avios cards

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Just a quick heads up about this promotion, since it seems that a lot of people who hold the Lloyds TSB Avios credit cards have not received an email about it, and the promotion requires you to actively opt-in to qualify.

Between 29th June and 31st July, you will receive double miles on all transactions made on the Amex card – that is 2 Avios per £1 with the basic card and 2.5 Avios per £1 with the Premium card.

It is not clear if foreign spend is also doubled, to what would effectively be 4 Avios per £1 on the basic card and 5 Avios per £1 with the Premium card – you should assume not.  There is no bonus on MasterCard spend.

Only the first £10,000 of spend qualifies for double miles, and new card applicants do not qualify to take part – you must have been an existing cardholder on 29th June.  You need to register to take part, but you can register at any point up to 31st July – the bonus will be backdated to include all Amex spend since 29th June.  Bonus miles will be added separately to your Avios statement at some point between 31st July and 30th September.

If you have a Premium Duo card, you need to register here (link only appears after you log in).

If you have a standard Duo card, you need to register here (EDIT: links removed as now dead).
