Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get 180 Avios for £2 when you buy Tesco salad

Until 22nd July, Tesco Clubcard is offering 50 bonus points when you buy 2 x £1 bags of prepacked salad.

That is usually equivalent to 120 Avios points, but due to the 50% bonus promotion running from today until 31st August, you would get 180 Avios as long as the points hit your Clubcard account before the end of this collecting quarter on 21st July.

At just over 1p per Avios it is not a bad deal, so if you need some salad anyway then you might as well buy it in Tesco!  A bulk purchase would be even more attractive if you needed to bump up your points total this quarter in order to qualify for the ‘Get More” 2,000 bonus Avios promotion.

This offer only seems to be available in-store, not online.

  • Zinzer says:

How do I get this offer? Is it automatic or do I need some sort of voucher, and is it available in all stores?

    • Raffles says:

Automatic, it shows on the price label instore, points go on at the till. I saw it in a Metro so it is not just the big supermarkets, although Tesco Express stores usually don’t take part in these offers. Check the price labels, which will be in yellow to signify an offer, as not every bag of salad is included.

  • Far Canel says:

Those on the old premium conversion rate get 240 Avios for £2 spend.

    • Raffles says:

True. But that ended so long ago it just confuses people to mention it. Frankly, I am shocked Tesco keeps it going.

  • TonyB says:

Hi, are these bonus club card points supposed to show on your receipt? I just bought 4 bags in an attempt to tip my CC balance to enable the 2k quarterly bonus, but on receipt just showed as 1 CC Point per £1 spent. Any ideas?

    • Raffles says:

Only certain bags qualify. You need to look at the shelf labels and ensure you get the ones that qualify, mainly watercress!

      • TonyB says:

Well that’s a pain in the ar$e! It did say it was on offer and said ‘plus club card points’ but didn’t specify 50 or anything. I got the babyleaf and some sweet crunchy one
