You can book until 31st December 2012, and travel does not have to be completed until 31st December 2013.  Payment must be made with an American Express card.

Finnair is also offering an immediate upgrade to Finnair Plus Silver to anyone taking up this offer.  Finnair Plus Silver, however, is NOT equivalent to BA Silver when flying BA.  It is classed as ‘OneWorld Ruby’ and therefore only offers the same benefits as BA Bronze.  This is not, therefore, an easy way of getting yourself a BA Silver-equivalent card.

Finnair’s seats may not be the greatest (see below) but if you can get a price in the c £1,750 range – available on some but not all of the routes above – then you might be happy.  Tickets are semi-flexible, as you can change the date for €150 and cancel for a full refund for a charge of €400.  This is more flexibility than you get with BA’s cheapest business class tickets
