Jumeirah Hotels, very popular with British visitors to Dubai as they run Madinat Jumeirah and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, amongst others, is offering a 15% discount to Mastercard holders. This deal runs into 2013 so is worth remembering. There seem to be some blackout dates, though.
The latest Q&A on the BMI website regarding partner bookings (requires log-in) confirms that redemptions on Virgin Atlantic will cease on 31st August, as will the ability to earn Diamond Club miles from Virgin.
However, you will continue to be able to redeem on Qatar, Jet (India) and Transaero (Russia), and indeed to earn destination miles (which can be converted to Avios) if you fly with them.
