InterContinental Westminster 30,000 points deal gone …. but others remain

Last month I wrote this post about the excellent pre-opening deal available at the new luxury InterContinental Westminster in London.  It was bookable for 30,000 Priority Club points per night instead of the usual 50,000 points.

As of Tuesday this week, the deal is now dead.  IC Westminster now requires the usual 50,000 points for a reward night, even though it isn’t even open yet.

However, there are still 3 good bargains (to my mind) available for Priority Club redemptions in London.

As per my old post, the Holiday Inn Commercial Road is still available for just 15,000 points per night.  This will increase to the usual 25,000 points at some point soon.

The new Hotel Indigo in Earls Court, which opens on 11th January, is currently bookable for 25,000 points instead of the usual 35,000.

Finally, consider the Staybridge Suites at Stratford, which is in the middle of the huge Westfield shopping complex and next to the Olympic Park.  This hotel has always been 25,000 points (all Staybridge hotels globally are 25,000). 

This puts it on the same level as a Holiday Inn Express or Holiday Inn in London, but you will get a bigger room (see below, although I’m not sure if this exact category is available on a reward) in a brand new hotel.  Free breakfast is included and the transport links are exceptionally good.
