I have written a few posts in recent weeks about specific airline promotions running with Hilton.

The Virgin Atlantic promotion I covered here is probably the most generous.  Other versions include:

Miles & More – up to 2,000 miles per stay (no maximum earning)

Emirates – 5,000 Skywards miles after 2 stays (once only per Hilton account)

Virgin Australia – triple Velocity points (no maximum earning)

Delta – 250 Medallion Qualifying Miles per stay (no maximum earning)

The British Airways / Avios variant has now appearedThe link to sign up is here.    It is not desperately exciting, though.

Once you have registered via the link above, you will earn a one-off bonus on your next Hilton stay.  The bonus is 1,000 Avios for a BAEC Blue member, 1,500 for a Bronze member, 2,000 for a Silver member and 3,000 Avios for a Gold member.

The deadline for completing your stay is 31st December.  Your account must be set to ‘points and fixed miles’ in order to receive the bonus, with BA selected as your airline partner.

This is hardly going to set the world alight.  You can, however, claim it alongside Hilton’s other promotion – “1,000 Reasons” – which I wrote about here, so letting you claim 2 bonuses on one stay.

Think seriously about the Virgin promotion before signing up for the BA one, though, as that is far more generous if you are a regular Hilton visitor.

  • Tom says:

NB deadline is 31 December 2013, not 2012.

  • Raffles says:

You’re right! I missed that. And it is repeated twice, so you begin to wonder whether it is a mistake or if it really is 2013. All I would say is that it is a bit odd to link the competition (closing Nov 2012) to a promo which in theory doesn’t end until Dec 2013!

However, I am now going to sign myself and my wife up for this. I hadn’t bothered as we had no stays planned for the next 8 weeks, but if it does run into 2013 then I will happily bag the miles.

  • PhilH says:

The text in the link states that the earnings rates are: “1,000 Avios for Blue members, 1,500 for Bronze, 2,000 for Silver and 3,000 for Gold members.” which is a bit more than you’ve got in your post, Raffles.

    • Raffles says:

Erm, yes. Corrected! A typo on my part, I knew it started at 1,000 and went up in 500 increments, then forgot about Bronze existing and didn’t double check the Gold number ….!
