Virgin Atlantic has launched a 25% bonus when you buy Flying Club miles.

A similar bonus applies when you transfer miles to another member.
Both offers expire on December 5th.
Virgin has also launched ‘Miles Booster’. This is a rather odd little scheme which lets you buy more Virgin miles when you book a Virgin flight for cash. The maximum you can buy is 200% of the miles you would earn from your flight.
What is odd here is that the miles you can buy are not cheap – you are paying 1.5p each plus a £15 admin charge. You also have to ring up to make the purchase.
There is a small carrot – 15% bonus miles for the first month, plus a longer term bonus of 1,000 miles per transaction. However, it is hardly better than buying miles outright through the ‘Buy Miles’ facility. All very odd ….
