New Holiday Inn, Holiday inn Express and Crowne Plaza 2-4-1 deal

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza have launched ‘Spring Exclusive’, a new deal which offers you 2 nights for the price of 1 at hotels across the UK.

The link you need is here

In theory, the booking window is up to March 24th, and you must stay between March 22nd and May 7th.  Most hotels only offer weekend availability, although some properties are offering the same deal during the week.

In reality, this promotion is simply a ‘dressed up’ version of this special rate code which offers 2-4-1 deals across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.  (You need to click on the ‘rate’ box to bring up ‘PARTNER 241’ as your option).  There are also no date restrictions if you use this link, although the weekends-only rule still applies at most properties.

If the hotel is offering midweek availability, you can stay longer than 2 nights by booking back-to-back 2-4-1 stays.

There are two important points to note:

It is NOT strictly 2-4-1.  You are actually buying 2 non-refundable nights for the price of 1 refundable night.  As refundable nights are more expensive, it is not strictly 2-4-1.

The booking site will say that you will earn 0 Priority Club points from your stay.  In reality, there is a 50/50 chance that the stay will count for points.

It is also worth looking back at this old Head for Points post, which includes a Priority Club 3-4-2 link and details of the ‘Friends and Family’ rates offered at many properties.

    Hi,

I know you state that it’s 50/50 whether you get points for these stays. Does that extend to bonus points from enrolling in some of the very generous, and often stackable, promotions that are out there?

    Cheers!

Yes, because if you don’t get the points from the stay it means that they stay will not have been treated as a ‘qualifying night’. And only ‘qualifying nights’ count for the promotions.
