  • Simon says:

Would you actually collect Avios from HOF if you used gift cards to pay for the entire order?

    • Rob says:

You might do, depends on the retailer.

In the US, there are lists online of retailers which give you miles for ordering gift cards online AND give you miles when you spend them online. This allows you to double up!

Not sure who in the UK would do this. I looked at John Lewis, but if you buy gift cards online it goes through a separate website so probably no Avios, and they charge for delivery with no collect in store option,

  • creampuff says:

I only started collecting Avios this year.

I’m really looking for something like the Tesco Cliff Richard CDs to come back.

  • creampuff says:

Well I just bought a laptop via the BA->PC World site and used the click and collect instore pickup option, which is elegible.

Had to endure a 10 min earbashing from the salesman when I picked it up about selling me an Antivirus program and a monthly service package.

  • Rohan says:

On debenhams ordering vouchers takes you to a different website, however a gift card still keeps you on the same website. Do any of you think this will qualify for the 50% avios. Is there a way to check for sure? I am looking to order quite a few as I need to make up spend on amex for my bonus miles .
