EVA Air, the Hello Kitty airline, joins Star Alliance tomorrow

Just a quick heads up that EVA Air officially joins Star Alliance tomorrow.

This gives me a good excuse to run a picture of their Hello Kitty planes again:

More seriously, if you have Star Alliance miles then you should be able to use them from tomorrow for routes to Taipei and onwards. EVA also flies directly from Heathrow to Bangkok.

Full details can be found in my recent article on EVA Air here.

I’m thinking about taking another trip to Taiwan just so I can go on the Hello Kitty airplane.

If you want to take my 5-year old, she’d love it!

Forget 5-year olds, my 30-something wife would love it! I wouldn’t mind either.

I was thinking of doing this last time I was in Hong Kong on a revenue fare – costs were a bit expensive though for a 1 and a bit hour return flight.

Still… it would be fun. Before the pink gets to me…
