    Good question. When they did ‘Crack The Case’ 2 years ago, ANY paid stay counted. Even stays which were ineligible for points (eg Friends & Family, airline crew rates) counted. We need to wait a while, I think, and see what other people report – there will probably be a counter on the website which shows you how far along you are, so you can see which ones count.

    No – the T&Cs mention qualifying rates. This will also exclude anything that falls under the magic 30% off Best Flexible rates.

    I had a long discussion with IHG about their unpublished criteria of what qualifying rates are. However it’s their game so their rules.

  50,000 points altogether, I have two individual stays at HI at LAX in December, might be able to do a few more stays between now and then.

  I am UK registered have stayed 120 nights at IHG properties so far this year in Asia and my offers are as follows
  Try one- 1000 points
  Stay more – 16800 points for 19 nights (have a 28 day stay booked for September plus more for October in CP, HIX and HI)
  Explore – 36000 points for 4 brands (will need a cheep IC for 1 night or a reward night)
  Book with us – 4200 points for 3 bookings (Will achieve this)
  Survey the win – 100 Points
  Live the city life – 0
  Win in a weekend – Stay 3 Saturdays for 8400 (if they can be combined will complete in Sept)
  Win big – 67,000 for completing all the above (just need to find a IC somewhere in Asia)

  So my total can be 133500 if all achieved.

  The T&Cs state “qualifying stay…A stay constitutes a “qualifying stay” when paying qualifying rates” so safe to assume that his would be paid nights only.

  I think I’ll take a pass on this one as I could buy the same points using the 100% promo (expires tomorrow) for $621 or ~£400. I could mattress run to hit the totals at a motorway Holiday Inn, but given the increases in award levels and re-qualification requirements it’s just not worth it.

  If the promo had started 1st August I could have already competed this 🙁

  I received an offer for 71,700. I registered my Dad for it too and given he’s only stayed once in the past couple of years his was even more generous!!

  Mine (and my comments)
  1,000 – one stay (easy)
  7,400 – 7 nights (difficult, only 2 planned so far)
  12,000 – two different brands (easy assuming HI and HIX count separately, which they should given they have separate achievement badges at the bottom of the page)
  3,200 – book 4 separate stays (the key qn is whether existing bookings count towards this goal or only towards the other targets)
  100 – survey (easy)
  7,200 – city life after 2 locations (should be easy, the initial list is only 5, but clicking ‘view all’ includes loads in the UK so will get that on the HI and HIX stay
  4,800 – weekend, 2 sat nights (if doing extra stays to hit the 7 then do-able, although no weekend ones planned yet)
  36,000 – win big (the main issue will be the 7 nights/2 weekend – if that’s do-able then the rest are fine, especially with the booking one being less than the number of nights)

  My Dad’s (104,100)
  1,000 – try one and done
  6,700 – 5 nights
  22,000 – 3 brands
  2,400 – 2 bookings
  12,000 – 2 locations (same list as me – Paris, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, Moscow, Madrid, Birmingham, London, Rome)

  Combining offers is definitely allowable – I see one of the ‘badges’ is “Adept Adventurer – Complete two offers with one stay”. They’ve also got badges for each brand and various other things, although it doesn’t look like these earn you anything.

  Mine is very similar to BD701’s

  Trip in October to the US will allow me to get all but the complete it all bonus. I need to stay in three brands, only two booked. Should be able to find a European trip to get the last bit.

  One problem I have though, now I’ve registered I can’t find the T+C’s for the Big Win or in fact any of the promos I’ve signed up to. I can find the offer but the next page is blank!

  Any ideas please?
