Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Avios.com and BAEC redemptions sales start at noon, Iberia sale ends tomorrow

Today is the day that avios.com and British Airways Executive Club will launch their January ‘sale’.

avios.com has made a big play of its offers with emails and tweets going out left, right and centre.  Ironically, the BA sale is incredibly low-key and if the British Airways rep on Flyertalk hadn’t mentioned it, no-one would know it was happening.

What is the best Avios credit card?

(It is not clear, at the moment, if both avios.com and BA will have the same offers.  Even if they do, it is beneficial that BA is copying the deals, as it will allow you to use a British Airways American Express 2-4-1 voucher if you have one.)

There will be six different promotions over the next 14 days, with each lasting for 2-3 days before being replaced by another.  I will keep you up to date with them all via Head for Points, of course!

Whilst we wait for the launch at noon, don’t forget the impressive Iberia Avios redemption sale that I wrote about on Saturday.  We are talking about Madrid to New York, for example, for just 20000 Avios in Economy and 40000 Avios in Business Class, plus taxes of just £150, give or take.

The last day to book the discounted Iberia redemptions is tomorrow.

The link to the offer from the email invitation will not recognise my logon; logon to site directly ok but no link to the offer. Have tried on difference computers and all the same. Has the site collapsed?
