Get 10% off UK Marriott weekend breaks, plus 1,000 bonus points

Marriott Rewards has launched a weekend breaks promotion for the UK, running until April 28th.

There are 50 participating hotels.  You will receive a 10% discount on the standard rate as well as receiving 1,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points.  You need to stay at least two nights between Thursday and Sunday to qualify.

You must use promotional code M41 on the standard Marriott booking page in order to bring up the special rate, assuming it is available at a particular property for that weekend.  You need to click on ‘Advanced Search’ to bring up the ‘Promotional Code’ box.

The discount is based on the cancellable ‘Bed & Breakfast’ rate.   This may or may not mean that it works for you.  As an example, I looked at the Edinburgh Marriott, above, for 14-16 March.

With this promotion, the rate (with breakfast) was £102.  You could be book a non-refundable room without breakfast for £89 – the promotion looks a good deal compared to this, since (for a couple) you are effectively paying just £6.50 for breakfast and retaining cancellation flexibility.

I would only value the 1,000 Marriott bonus points at £5 so, whilst nice to have, it is not something that should sway your judgement.  This offer would also be combinable with the current MegaBonus promotion that is listed on our ‘Hotel Offers‘ page.

How to earn Marriott Bonvoy points and status from UK credit cards (April 2024)

There are various ways of earning Marriott Bonvoy points from UK credit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

The official Marriott Bonvoy American Express card comes with 20,000 points for signing up, 2 points for every £1 you spend and 15 elite night credits per year.
