£10 of free Hailo London taxi credit for new customers

Three weeks ago, I ran details of an American Express promotion which offered 500 people a £15 credit for signing up for London taxi app Hailo.  Head for Points readers ran through all of the 500 Amex codes within a couple of hours …..

Reader Craig has sent in details of a new Hailo offer for people who missed out,

You need to download the Hailo app from the Apple or Android app stores.  Once registered, click on ‘Credit’ and add the code TRYHAILOLONDON.

£10 of ride credit will be added to your account and deducted from your first taxi ride.

(Warning – do NOT try to use this code on an existing account if you already have a ‘first ride credit’ loaded.  It will override it with this one, which may mean you lose money if you existing code was for more than £10!)

The Hailo app is impressive and a little addictive, so I recommend giving it a go if you haven’t so far.

The TRYHAILOLONDON code was working OK last night, but needs to be applied to a new account.

Code just worked for me thank you.

  • Darren Thompson says:

Code not working as of 0715hrs.

  • Suzanne says:

Just worked for me at 7.28

  • Jonny says:

Careful if you’ve applied the amex code but not yet had the chance to use it (as in my case). This code will overwrite the amex code as opposed to “stacking”.

    • Rob says:

I did say it was new accounts only!

(Although I did try it on my old account yesterday – luckily I had already used my £15 from last time!)

      • Jonny says:

Haha I thought it might work as my account is still “new” in the sense that I haven’t taken a journey with it yet, having just signed up for the amex code.

        • Idrive says:

you would loose the amex code for £15 and gain £10 instead.

          • Jonny says:

yep that’s what happened – I thought they might “stack”, i.e. have £25 credit. Alas not.

  • Meyer S says:

New app installed. Code entered. £10 credit added…..BUT….it does have an expiry date (unlike Uber). It’s given me until end of April which I hope I can use living outside London! 🙂
