A very, very quick late evening post to say that redspottedhanky has launched a new TV advertising campaign tonight.

The ads are offering 30,000 x £10 RSH vouchers, redeemable for UK train travel.  You can claim one (or more …) by visiting this website (EDIT: deleted as now dead).

The vouchers will be valid until 31st May, which means (if you book on the last day) you will able to use them for travel until the end of August.

Given that they are pushing this via TV advertising to millions of people, they won’t last long.

Don’t forget to read my other post today on how to buy a £16 RSH voucher for just £8 via Amazon Local.  You can combine that £16 voucher with a £10 voucher from this promotion, and indeed with any other redspottedhanky vouchers you have obtained recently.

It amazes me how much money RSH have given away over the last few months!!

    • Rob says:

The owners of Trainline wanted £400m for it when put on the market last year, albeit they didn’t get offered that. Why spend £400m buying Trainline when you could spend £40m on marketing to grow a start-up to, say, half the size of Trainline?

      • DontLikeFruit says:

RSH’s owners have historically been involved with rail ticketing in the UK – if I remember correctly, after privatisation of the industry, BR’s IT department became part of Sema, which after various name changes is now part of Atos. So the technical skills/infrastructure are already in place (supposedly), leaving plenty of money for the marketing budget.

          Atos has big pockets 😉

Investing to steal market share was always a straightforward way to do it.

Cheers, a good day for train travel!

No more vouchers left as of now.

  • Scott says:

Didn’t expect anything to appear on this site at this time so missed out (checked on the off chance)

  • Mark says:

    All gone as of 10pm

  • squills says:

Yep it did actually hit 10W @ 7.15 or so, I now see 😉

    • Andy says:

What is 10W? I’ve tried googling but nothing related comes up.

      • Matthew says:

10ways – it’s a facebook page for saving money/spotting glitches aimed at students.

  • David says:

I saw the same picture as earlier and didn’t read the headline! Never mind, hopefully more will be along soon.
