Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get a £5 Marks & Spencer voucher if you still haven’t joined TopCashback

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

TopCashback is the latest Avios collection partner.  As I wrote two weeks ago, you can now transfer your cashback into Avios points (at a rate of 1 Avios for every 0.95p of cashback due) instead of taking it as money.

An even better deal, of course, is to transfer your first £50 of TopCashback cashback each year into Tesco Clubcard points and then onto Avios.  This allows you to effectively buy Avios points for 0.4p each.  1p of cashback gets you 1.05p of Clubcard vouchers which gets you 2.52 Avios points.  You are capped to £50 of cashback into Tesco per year.

If you are not a TopCashback member yet – perhaps you are still using Quidco – then they are offering a £5 Marks & Spencer voucher to anyone who signs up via a refer-a-friend link before midnight on Friday.

The £5 becomes payable as soon as you have earned £10 cashback.  It will appear as a £5 credit in your TopCashback account but you can only redeem it as a Marks & Spencer e-gift card.  This can either be printed off to use in an M&S store or used on their website.

My refer-a-friend link is here.  Remember that you must use a refer-a-friend link – if you join directly via the TCB website then you will not receive anything.  I also receive a commission for referring which helps keep the site ticking over.

The full rules for the refer-a-friend promotion are here.  You will probably NOT see any reference to the promotion when you sign-up, but you WILL receive your £5 voucher as long as you join by midnight on Friday.

Important to note that some merchants are excluded from being eligible for the purposes of the ‘first £10’ – I fell foul of this. Read the refer-a-friend page terms carefully as there is a list of excluded merchants. If I had known that when I first signed up then I would have had my extra £5 months ago… still waiting for it!

HFP, is the $31 audible deal valid for UK people? Easy way to make $16, not sure what it converts to.

Mine is pending, guess I’ll see how it plays out.
