Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Did you win 20,000 IHG Rewards Club points in our competition?

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Thank you to the 1,330 people who entered our IHG Rewards Club competition last week.

The response was fantastic.  Even if you didn’t win, the great response makes it a lot easier for me to approach other companies to ask for competition prizes, so you have played a key part in helping the site going forward.

IHG Rewards Club

There is only one winner, unfortunately, and that person was Trickster.  Well done.

I have sent Trickster an email, and once he has confirmed his IHG Reward Club details I will ask IHG to drop the points into his account.

Hopefully someone from Head for Points will also get lucky in IHG’s ‘Minute Millionaire’ competition (now closed) which was what IHG was promoting via our prize.

I hope to have some other competitions on Head for Points soon, so keep visiting the site as part of your daily browsing routine.

  • K says:

Perhaps you could run them without entrants needing to post their home address to the Internet.

    • Will says:

It was only the last 3 digits? That can’t tell you anything.

    • john says:

Aha, you are called K. Now your financial data and life history is mine!

    • Brian says:

      Entry is voluntary…

    • Rob says:

No! By guaranteeing it is one entry per household I am a) making it fair to everyone and b) other companies I talk to about sponsoring competitions can be sure that 1,300 entries represents 1,300 readers.

    • Matt says:

Perhaps you could read another website?

  • Will says:

The last 3 digits of a postcode tell nothing and reduce automatic bot spamming

  • Trickster says:

    Hey, this was me!
Thanks for the competion, Rob. The 20k points takes me over 100k; good for a couple of IC nights. Just need to find some avios now to make a nice birthday weekend break in a pile of months.

    Trickster (aka totaliser now!)

    • Rob says:

Doh! Sorry, I wrote the name from memory then got it wrong!

At least you know who you are …..

  • Frenske says:

I feel there is a plot against me … first I did not win the lotery and now this. 🙁

  • James says:

Thanks for the opportunity Raffles 🙂

  • MKB says:

Blast! My theory that nearly everyone was entering incorrectly was wrong then. As one of just a couple of entrants (when I checked) who entered the last 3 digits of my postcode (rather than the last 3 characters), I thought I might stand a good chance with this competition, but sadly not.

  • Danksy says:

    congrats trickster!
