Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get 360 Avios with CDs (not pre-orders) from Tesco Direct from £4.50

Tesco Direct is running another CD promotion with bonus Clubcard points, which can be turned into cheap-ish Avios or Virgin Flying Club miles.

Unlike recent pre-order deals, this offer is for CD’s which are already in the shops.  This means that are cheaper because they are not new releases!

Take a look at the list here.

Each title comes with 150 bonus Clubcard points which gets you 360 Avios points or 375 Virgin Flying Club miles.

There is a big selection.  There is only one title at £4.50 (Calvin Harris, above) but for £5 / £6 / £7 there is more choice.  If you had been thinking about getting any of these titles then you are unlikely to find a better deal.

There is currently a Tesco Direct discount code – TDX-PFW6 – which gets you £5 off a £30 spend on ‘entertainment’ until July 20th. This should work with these deals which brings the price per point down further.

The CD offer runs until 4th August.

For a change actual CDs one might want to buy and not 1988 Smash Dance Hits Volume XIV. 🙂

Where is the best place to sell the CD’s?

  • squills says:

Not too bad a deal f you want the CDs. Eg buy 20 for £5 average = £100.

7200 Avs which is pretty much a European flight and the CDs for free.

Without wanting to turn the site into Money Saving Expert, Clubcard boost started today, normally there are a lot of exclusions and I don’t pay much attention to it but this time all items on Tesco Direct sold by Tesco are included so a £330 iPad can be bought for £165 worth of Clubcard points.

I guess most people will stick with Avios and getting twice the value from clubcard points isn’t the best compared to other offers, it is a genuine saving though, if you are Avios rich it might be worth considering.

My hope for an Avios bonus were increased at the weekend when I saw Avios were listed on the Clubcard Boost page under selected offers, they’ve been removed now I see though.

  • MrCP says:

These CDs are now available in the Tesco Clubcard Boost so you could:-
    buy 4 CDs @ £5 each
use a £10 Clubcard voucher which will double up to £20
get back 620 points for your purchase.
I know the purpose of the site is to increase your points but 4 recent CDs for 380 points seems a good deal.
