Hotel Tonight now offering £15 sign-up bonus and £25 back on first booking

I have written before about Hotel Tonight, an iOS and Android app which lets you book hotels for the same day only in various European cities.

The company is expanding quickly throughout the UK.  Cardiff, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Derby, Dover and Aberdeen have just been added, taking the number of UK cities to 29.   Globally the company is operating in over 450 cities.

If you’ve never tried it, they are running an interesting promotion during August:

Download HotelTonight and use promotional code RBURGESS15 on the sign-up screen. You will receive £15 of credit. (This is my refer-a-friend link, although I won’t earn anything unless you make a booking.  There is no better sign-up deal available as far as I know.)

As long as you make your first booking on the app before 31st August, and book a hotel in the UK or Europe only, you will receive a £25 or €30 or equivalent credit back into your Hotel Tonight account.  This can be used against any future booking in the next 12 months.

£25 cashback will not sound a lot if you are booking a hotel in London.  However, elsewhere in the UK, it is effectively a 50% rebate.

In Birmingham last night, for example, they had the Copthorne for £49.  This would have been £34 after your £15 sign-up bonus AND you would have got a £25 voucher afterwards as well!  In Liverpool they had the well regarded Hope Street Hotel for £61, which would have come down to £46 with a further £25 back. It will also go a long way at most of the European hotels.
