Hyatt Gold Passport has launched a bonus of up to 30% when you buy Gold Passport points before September 15th.

The link is here (scroll down and click on the Hyatt logo).

The deal is:

  • Purchase 5,000 to 19,000 points and get a 10% bonus
  • Purchase 20,000 to 39,000 points and get a 20% bonus
  • Purchase 40,000 to 55,000 points and get a 30% bonus

The most expensive room in the Hyatt system will not cost you more than 30,000 points. Hyatt also offers GUARANTEED reward availability if standard rooms are available for cash.

In some circumstances, this can therefore be a good deal. The Park Hyatt in Paris is €880 on September 9th for example.  Buying 30,000 points (ie 25,000 + 20%) would cost you $600 or ‘just’ €450 – and you are guaranteed availability if they have standard rooms left.  Such examples are not common but it can offer a good deal if you are desperate, for example, to recreate Lost In Translation at the Park Hyatt Tokyo!

PS.  The 20% bonus when you buy Hilton HHonors points is also still running until September 3rd – see this article

  • Phil says:

For the higher end properties the Cash + Points option (which requires only half the number of points) is usually (always?) even better value. So having a small stash points available makes sense if you intend to stay in more expensive properties.

  • Phil says:

Plats and Diamonds recently got an even better offer (just expired) with bonuses of 20%, 30% and 40%.

Another way that Hyatt looks after its elites, apparently. Lots to like about Hyatt Gold Passport.

  • mucky says:

Can you pay the Hyatt ‘my elite’ rate using points and cash?

  • RIccati says:

Any quick recipe on how to ask Hyatt to match SPG status? Which CS best to reach?

  • Jan says:

There might be a small type, the 10% bonus applies only if you buy 5000 points to 19000 points, there is not bonus if you buy less than 5000 points

  • BLT says:

Slightly OT. Does anyone know how to get the Hyatt regency at orlando airport for a cheaper price?
