A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about a new deal from Tesco’s digital download service blinkbox.

Until September 13th, you will earn 500 Clubcard points (1,200 Avios or 1,250 Virgin Flying Club miles) when you buy ‘Spiderman 2’ from blinkbox. Note that you need to buy the film and not rent it.

When I wrote the original article, the film cost £9.99 to buy.  You were therefore paying 0.8p per Avios point.

Blinkbox has now launched a half-price promotion for new customersYou need to click here to register.

Blinkbox will email you a code for a 50% discount on your first purchase.  There does not seem to be any restriction on using this, so you should be OK to use it to buy your copy of ‘Spiderman 2’ for just £4.99.

The code takes the cost per Avios or Virgin Flying Club miles down to under 0.4p!  This is a great deal and well worth doing.

Note that the half-price movie offer only runs to 7th September, even though the ‘Spiderman 2’ deal runs until 13th September.

Those who used the half price voucher – was it emailed to you instantly after signing up?

I signed up half an hour ago and no emails from blinkbox in my inbox or spam..

    • Daleroxxu says:

Was the code the same each time or unique? If the same, could you share the code please?

  • Steve says:

I meant to put it takes 48 hours for CC points to appear on your account

    • Tony says:

Sadly CC points from Blinkbox don’t post that quickly – points for the cash spend do post within a couple of weeks however bonus points take a lot longer – they will post by the end of the current earning quarter, so 17th October ish.

  • KenC says:

When trying to use the code BUY50 it tells me it has already expired!

  • Singing Dwarf says:

Anyone had their Lego Movie or Game of Thrones bonus points (500 and 1,000 respectively) from the Blinkbox offer in July yet?
