Get up to 40% off Accor hotel stays – valid until the end of 2015

Le Club Accorhotels, the loyalty programme for Novotel, Mercure, M Gallery, Ibis, Sofitel, Pullman etc, has launched a UK-only sale.

It is offering discounts of up to 40% for advance bookings.  You can stay at any point until the end of 2015 although you must book by 31st January 2015.

Importantly, some hotels are offering cancellable, non pre-paid rooms in the sale.  You could lock in a potential booking with no risk.

The link to book is here.

You must be a member of Le Club Accorhotels to book these rates, but you can sign up for free here.  Remember that American Express Platinum cardholders receive free Platinum status in the Le Club Accorhotels programme which brings a range of benefits, including guaranteed lounge access at certain brands.

A random test for the Mercure in Sheffield for a Saturday night in January brought up a rate of £98.  There was a cheaper rate of £94 available but that would require full pre-payment.  You are therefore saving £11 on the standard flexible rate.

At the Novotel around the corner, there are two sale rates.  A £60 room is non-refundable (and compares to the usual £66 non-refundable rate) whilst a cancellable room is £71.  That compares to the usual rate of £79.

Clearly these rates fall short of the ‘up to 40% off’ claim but they do still represent a discount.

If you book by October 5th – ie Sunday – you can combine these rates with the hugely generous ‘Euro 160 of credit for just three stays’ promotion that I wrote about here.

With regard to the current generous bonus points offer, I booked three stays for November at Accor hotels last weekend (hot deals/early booking rate – prepaid, no cancellation), so I was anxious to find out how much money I had wasted. But relax, while one hotel is considerably cheaper with this new promotion (GBP 75.60 instead of GBP 108), the second one is now GBP 378 instead of the GBP 341.40 I paid, and at the third one all suites are gone now. It just goes to show that miles collectors should grab the opportunities on offer as soon as they feel ready to book – and never look back!!

As usual the web site is rubbish and will not book beyond 31-12-15!

And Brian is of course right – easier than I thought…

  • Tim says:

Well I can’t get the website to go beyond 30 Jan 2015.

[…] Remember that Accor is also running a UK sale at the moment which would work fine with this promotion. […]
