British Airways launches £1,007 Club World flash sale

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

I have dropped this in as one of the rare ‘middle of the day’ posts because this is a genuinely impressive deal.

If you don’t have your Christmas or New Year plans finalised yet, British Airways has launched a short ‘flash sale’ for Club World.

All participating destinations are just £1,007 per person return.

Here is the list of participating routes:

Just looking at the QR deal that has been extended – but so far I can’t find the 241 deals past the 18th March.

    • Rob says:

Hmmm. Qatar’s IT is not world-beating to put it mildly. You may want to give this one 24 hours to work through the system. The home page clearly states it has been extended to May as did the email they sent me.

  • What's the Point says:

These are amazing prices for this time of year!
I can’t believe that I don’t have any holidays left to take to advantage of them.

    • Rob says:

Must admit, I was surprised to see Cape Town which is the ideal destination at this time of year

      • Scott says:

Dubai and Muscat are also a good at this time of year. With added bonus if you want to get away from Christmas it is quite easy to avoid it over there if you want to…

      • Scottnothing says:

The CPT prices are amazing. £350 cheaper than the ex-Europe sale that ran earlier this year (plus the added convenience of flying from LHR). Kicking myself now!

  • Scott says:

I’m sure there are people out there who have paid sizeable advance economy fares for the festive period who would kick themselves if they saw this…

    • CV3V says:

yup. i am travelling over the holiday period and was being quote about £1200 rtn for economy flights. Fortunately i could use points and booked Business and First class.

For flights to HKG Biz is about £40 more expensive than economy. Premium Economy is more expensive than business!

    • Mathieu says:

      Testify!

    • Nick says:

Even Avios redemption on my LHR-NBO return flight in F is looking bad now! The cost was 150,000 Avios + £556.86 tax/fees, etc., which looked good at the time of booking! I can now book Club World at £1006.00 all in! I would have gone for that option for sure earlier and saved the Avios.

OK, that’s life, and it’s no big deal, but it doesn’t exactly enamour me to BA!

      • Brian says:

So why not cancel your redemption, save all those Avios and taxes, earn a load of tier points and Avios and all for the cost of about 35 pounds, or whatever the cancellation fee is?

  • Adam says:

I just launched in, paying to hold my booking for 72 hours – will work out what of my original arrangements I can cancel before I confirm.

    Incredible price!

  • CV3V says:

Wonder if Virgin Atlantic will copy the offer in a few hours time!

  • Lorcancoyle says:

Have gambled £10 and held a return to Buenos Aires (a bit more than £1,014 admittedly at. £627 e/w) for 72 hours. Only getting back from the States 3 days before the outbound on this one, but opportunity to enjoy that part of the world briefly is a tempting one

Outbound in R (£200 change / cancel fee) but return in I – so not much flex, may be one for others to be aware of

  • DeltaCharlie says:

Have a BOS redemption booked for 28th – 2nd in CW on an Avios upgrade from PE bought in sale, thought I had done OK but now this has upset me 🙁

  • Mike says:

Amazing! I just cancelled my xmas Avois flights (100k miles + £600) to SFO and bought them again for £1k (and I get the full miles and tier points :D)!

Interestingly, while I was transferring my selected seats over between the two tickets I see far more seat selection availability for the flights that I just booked (class I) compared to what’s available on the avios seats (class U). Is this a known thing?

    • DeltaCharlie says:

Good work… What was the cancellation penalty? just the normal £50.00 over the phone fee?

      • Mike says:

£35 cancellation fee – I didn’t need to ring, I did it on ‘manage your booking’

        • DeltaCharlie says:

          Thanks.
Mine says I need to call, so looks like it will be £50.00 and a long wait on hold.

          • richie says:

book and pay for your new flights online first before you call them. that way you can always use 24h to get out of it if there is a problem
