British Airways launches £1,007 Club World flash sale

I have dropped this in as one of the rare ‘middle of the day’ posts because this is a genuinely impressive deal.

If you don’t have your Christmas or New Year plans finalised yet, British Airways has launched a short ‘flash sale’ for Club World.

All participating destinations are just £1,007 per person return.

Note that, whilst the website is headed ‘Take 2 for £2,014’, you do NOT need to travel with someone else.  If you search for just one person it will price at £1,007.

You have just seven days to book although seats are limited and the best deals will not last that long.  The last day to book is Thursday 4th December.

You must travel OUTBOUND between 21st December and 3rd January.  You must return by 11th January.

    I got a heads up from a WEXAS travel email, before Raffles brilliant announcement,

    There was no return Club availability for less than £2000+

    Oh well will have to settle for EZE instead!!

    Sorry for the stupid question but could someone confirm how much would be refunded if we had to cancel these flights. It states on the BA website that “There are no refunds except for any government & airport taxes”, does this equate to the amount that it quoted under Taxes, fees and carrier charges per person? Thanks for your help. MJ

      No. It only means Air Passenger Duty and the few quid paid to Heathrow and the other airport. The £300 or so of fuel surcharge built into the original ‘taxes and charges’ figure does not come back. And BA will deduct the cancellation fee before paying it to you.

    Just a heads up, I have managed to book from NCL all the way through to MNL (Manila) via HKG for GBP 1327.45. includes return on Cathay in J, 400 tp’s and 33,652 miles 🙂

    I was originally looking at NCL-HKG and just chucked in MNL to see what would happen.

    There may be other creative ways to use the cheap flights to destination not actually in the sale.

    And here’s me supposed to be on a ‘burn’ year!

    Hi, slightly OT here but if I book on the Qatar sale, am I better using my exec club number or joining the Qatar loyalty programme

      Qatar is running a 50% miles bonus in its own scheme for tickets booked via this promo. However, unless you are going to earn enough for a redemption, it doesn’t make much sense to split your oneworld miles between two programmes. This is especially true in the case of Qatar because they are not an Amex partner so you won’t be able to top them up easily via Membership Rewards if you are just a little bit short.

    What’s the best way of seeing the fare rules for this sale? I need to find out if stopovers are allowed as I would like to route LHR-IAD, stopover then IAD-LAX and LAX-LHR.
