Today I am launching a fantastic hotel competition in association with The Langham, London. You can win a 2-night weekend break for two people, with breakfast.

You may remember that I reviewed The Langham back in May and was impressed.

The Langham, London was the first ‘grand hotel’ in Europe, opening in 1865. It will be celebrating its 150th anniversary next year and you could be checking in.

Following an £80 million refurbishment, the façade of this historic Victorian building contains a modern five-star luxury property with an excellent Roux-run restaurant, award winning bar and an impressive spa and pool. You are just 90 seconds from Oxford Street and a short walk from Bond Street and the boutique shops of Marylebone High Street.

All Langham hotels offer a special deal to British Airways Executive Club Gold members. Show your BA Gold card at check-in and you will be immediately enrolled in their ‘1865’ loyalty programme at ‘Voyager’ level. This would usually require five stays and gives you the following benefits:

6pm check-out subject to availability – very handy for evening flights

a one category room upgrade subject to availability

free fruit and water

your choice of personalised welcome amenity

free internet

500 Avios points per NIGHT (maximum 3 nights)

Langham Spa

If you are still looking for a Christmas gift, The Langham offers a fantastic range of gift vouchers covering every part of the hotel. You can choose from a range of vouchers for:

meals in the ‘Roux at The Landau’ restaurant

cocktails in ‘The Artesian’ bar – winner of the Drinks International ‘World’s Best Bar’ award

spa treatments

afternoon tea

overnight stays

Gift vouchers are available via this site.

What can you win?

We are giving away a gift voucher for a two-night weekend stay for one or two people in a Grand Room.

Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included and the voucher is valid for 12 months. You can pass on the voucher to a friend or family member if you wish.

The standard price of a gift voucher stay is £360 per night, so your prize is worth £720! In reality, the typical cost of a two-night weekend stay with breakfast at The Langham, London can be over £1,000.

Even if you live in London, it is well worth entering – a weekend at The Langham is probably more fun than staying at home, especially if you don’t have your own swimming pool!

How to enter

With this competition, I am using a new entry system. This allows me some added flexibility and gives you additional chances to win.

You can have up to three entries in the competition:

You receive one entry automatically when you complete your email address (this remains private and will NOT be used by Head for Points for any other purpose)

You receive an additional entry if you tweet a link to the competition (please use the ‘link your account’ option to ensure it tracks properly)

You receive an additional entry if you join The Langham, London email list. You can unsubscribe at any point by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in every newsletter they send.

The rules

You can see the detailed rules by clicking on ‘Terms and Conditions’ in the entry widget. In summary:

You must be 18 years old

You must be a resident of the European Union, Norway or Switzerland

Entries are limited to one submission form – which may get you up to three entries in the draw – per household

The competition closes at midnight, London time, on Friday 5th December

If you cannot see the entry widget below, please click here and you will be directed to a special website to enter.

Good luck. The winner will be announced on Head for Points early next week.

Worked fine for me – all three entries claimed – fingers crossed!!

  • AviosNewbie says:

And I’m not able to enter from within the UK either because apparently the firewall at my work place is from another region. Need to remember to do this from home tonite. Not a great issue, but others may face this as well.

  • Dave B says:

Really like the new system. Thanks for organising.

    • Alan says:

Ditto – I’m subscribed to all comments on the blog and hate when a competition is announced! Love the new system, abroad just now so will just use a VPN.

      • boi says:

How do you get subscribed to all comments? i thought you only subscribe per article?

        • Alan says:

Sorry I signed up for it when HfP first started, I’m not sure how you do it now!

  • Kiran says:

Seems like I can’t activate the “Save” button in the widget with the keyboard. I am blind and therefore use a screen reading software which requires that the widget is keyboard usable. Very disappointed. The old system was infinitely better.

  • Rob says:

Raffles’ competition, Raffles’ rules. Don’t like them? Don’t enter.

I would have thought everyone would have understood that.

  • Graeme says:

Don’t blame you for switching over at all, Raffles.

  • Andi Hawes says:

Entered. Will certainly beat my weekly Travelodge/Ibis.HIExpress combos…

  • AndyGWP says:

    6SD!! 😉

Haha… much prefer your new way of entering competitions Raffles, especially giving us the choice of opting in… 944 entries so far – that seems more than have normally entered by this time in the morning?
