The Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow hotel is now open at Hatton Cross

The Jury’s Inn hotel at Heathrow / Hatton Cross reopened on December 10th as the Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Airport.

What I like about this hotel is that it is very close – a couple of minutes walk – to Hatton Cross underground station.  This makes it considerably easier to reach than most of the hotels around Heathrow, the majority of which require you to take the Hotel Hoppa bus unless you can navigate the local buses.

Not only is the Hotel Hoppa expensive at £5 per person each way, it can also be incredibly slow as the buses can stop at a number of hotels before reaching yours.

The Hilton Garden Inn is far easier to reach with a very short one or two stop tube journey.

Whilst the hotel now carries a Hilton brand, Jury’s Inn continue to own and manage it.  It has been fully refurbished as part of the rebranding.  One perks is that all guests will receive free wi-fi.

You can find out more at the hotel home page at hilton.com hereIt is priced at 30,000 points per night for a Hilton HHonors redemption – in line with my valuation of Hilton points at 0.3p given the £99 typical price.  However, if it is available for your date, ‘Points & Money’ is a far better deal at just 12,000 Hilton HHonors points plus £32.

If you are staying at any of the hotels along Bath Road, and that includes the Marriott, Sheraton, Renaissance and at least two Holiday Inns, the public buses are extremely easy to use – they are free and frequent, too. Remember that you would need to pay for the tube from Hatton Cross – personally, unless Hilton is one’s chain of choice, I don’t see any advantage in staying at this new hotel rather than one of the others on Bath Road.

    • Stu R says:

Ooops, I beg your pardon, it’s not free, interchange only …. apologies!

    • JQ says:

Bus is free from Hatton Cross, though fewer of them go there.

Rob, we stayed here the night before I took that pic of the EthiadA380 at Heathrow – great refurb.

  • Hiltonhotelfans says:

Nice post. Please don’t forget that Hilton has a very nice hotel at the terminal at Heathrow. Greetings from Hiltonhotelfans.

  • Linda says:

You can also use Jurys Inn Free Room Night Awards for this hotel, 14900 points for room only.
Jurys points can also be used to redeem at:
    Doubletree by Hilton London Chelsea
    Doubletree by Hilton London Islington

    • Rob says:

Thanks Linda. Doubletree Chelsea (which is not in Chelsea!) is next to the ‘nearest thing to hell on earth for adults’ indoor kids soft play centre Gambado where we often go on wet weekends!

  • Dudeabides says:

The number 423 bus is free and stops along the Bath road near most hotels.
I use it to and from Terminal 5.

  • Martin says:

    Regarding buses:
T1-2-3 – the 285 and 555 and X26 are all free from Hatton Cross. The latter of these is non-stop.

T4 – 482 and 490 are free from Hatton Cross.

T5 – 482 and 490 (via T4) and 423 (via Bath Road) are free from Hatton Cross.

They all take a bit longer than the tube but are much more often and are of course free!

  • Bhavin says:

My personal opinion is that most hotels down the Bath Road are a little run down now and not maintained as well as they could have been. I think they were at their prime in the 80’s! Good to have a nice new refreshing option.

  • andy stock says:

The tube is not free, I have a zones 1 to 5 travelcard so no extra charge to Hatton Cross (zone 5), then I get charged £1.60 peak or £1 off peak from Hatton Cross to Heathrow.
