  Fabulous views from the rooms. I was able to check in online at the hotel last week and you choose your room like you can choose a seat on a plane. You need to be a HHONORS member. I choose room 609 as I know that side looks out on the road where planes are approaching the majority of the time. Amazing views. So close you can nearly touch them as they are about 5 seconds from landing.

  Let’s hope Jury’s can recognise HHonors members successfully…
  My mum has ‘Floor 3’ Jury’s rewards status (not her choice, she ends up there through work), and she barely ever gets the correct benefits. She’s even asked before, and the clerk isn’t sure of the benefits or doesn’t have any drink vouchers. It all tends to be a big mess.

    Stayed recently before flying out of LHR. The nearest bus stop is Envoy Avenue for the hotel, just a stop before Hatton Cross. It is a bit easier to get to/from T1,T2 &T3, as there are more buses and runs more frequent. It takes a bit longer to get to/ from T5 by bus. If you are in a hurry, the Tube will probably be the best option.

    As HHonors Gold I was offered free Breakfast or Points. However, this was all I got. No upgrade from the Queen room, and no bottle of water was given.

    It was just a short stay, so I did no bother to ask for upgrade or water, and in fact the Queen room is reasonable good size. I later found out from a friend that she did not get an upgrade but did receive a voucher for a bottle of complementary water, so I am guessing the staff are still learning…

    The room itself was kind of nice, but the towels in my room were dirty, and the bed sheet have some hairs on it, my friend also had the similar issue with used towels being put back on the rack. The wall are also very thin and I can hear my next door neighbour clearly….so I think I will take the Doubletree instead despite the fact it is not within the free bus zone.

  My favourite airport hotel. I just prefer jumping on the tube for 1 / 2 stops rather than wait for a bus. And as mentioned – some fabulous views from the top floors (make sure you request them). Looking forward to trying it out (although living in North London I rarely need a LHR hotel – but useful with my family for early morning departures).

    I agree. Whilst it is possible to use the local buses for free, I severely doubt that anyone unfamiliar with how they run really wants to drag their bags to the Central Bus Station (if in T1-3), find the right bus stop, worry about which stop is the right one and then worry about how far the stop actually is from the hotel.

    Down to the tube, quick 1-2 stop ride, short stroll to hotel, job done! Obviously the Sofitel and Hilton T4 are easier but you pay for that convenience. And, of course, if staying the night before a flight then you can just jump off at Hatton Cross and avoid LHR altogether.

  Rates good as well, random Saturday evening advanced room only rate £52, advanced breakfast rate £61. Remember you get free WiFi and from the pics the refurb looks decent.

  Is it worth paying the extra £8 for a King room over a Queen room?

  £52 a night in a Queen (Winter Sale) Vs. £60 in the King.

  Not sure if Hilton Gold status would get an upgrade to a KIng (not that it really matters as it’s an airport hotel for the night)

  I stayed at this hotel a couple of times just after its refurb and transition into the new Hilton ownership. As I guessed at the time: Prices would rocket. I paid £67 and £75. Now I can’t find a room for less than £112 in March. About 80% more than the lowest price I paid.

  I’ve booked a LHR hotel and parking on bath road. Rather than trying to get 2 kids and luggage on to a bus is it easy to use Uber to and from the hotels?
