Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

British Airways Club Europe flash sale – flights PLUS HOTEL from £179 per person

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

For just a couple of days, until midnight on Monday, British Airways is offering discounts of up to 40% on Club Europe flight and hotel packages.

These are very good deals if you are flexible about when you travel.  Prices will be better if you travel as a couple, obviously, although you may find the prices for single occupancy are still worthwhile.

Full details can be found on this special page of ba.com here.

Club Europe British Airways

Here are some sample prices.  Remember that these are for Club Europe flights which will earn you 80 tier points (160 for Marrakech and some other long routes) and a decent amount of Avios.

Club Europe tickets include lounge access, guaranteed empty middle seat, much improved (although not life changing!) food and drink etc.

Venice – flight + 3 hotel nights – from £189

Rome – flight + 3 hotel nights – from £189

Marrakech – flight + 3 hotel nights – from £179

Amsterdam – flight + 2 hotel nights – from £199

Vienna – flight + 2 hotel nights – from £199

You won’t be getting a five star hotel for these prices.  Nothing stops you from not turning up and booking a different hotel using points or cash, of course – your return flight won’t be cancelled.

Here are the headline rules:

Book by midnight on Monday 7th December

Travel must be completed by 14th January 2016

Prices are per person based on two sharing, departing from London

If you have some time off over Christmas and New Year then this could be a great opportunity to get away without flying too far.  Full details are on ba.com here.

  • Ian says:

How do these prices compare to regular flight only?

    • Rob says:

Put it this way, the recent £150 flight only sale was unprecedented in my 15 years of tracking this stuff. And these are cheaper.

      • Ian says:

        Thanks!

Seems to be select places only as Barcelona for example is not included.

Quick question – our tier point collection year ends 8th january – do we need to book our outbound flight on 8th or 9th January to get both legs into next year?

  • Joker says:

    Hi,

How do I find the deals on the BA web site as the link gets redirected to a more generic web page. Cheers

  • vindaloo says:

If you want to book a hotel separately then it’s probably better to bundle a car rather than a cheap hotel with the flights. The sample prices on the web site are cheaper for cars than hotels so even if you don’t want the car then this may be the cheapest way to book the flights.

  • Terri says:

I thought this looked interesting for a pre Xmas shopping trip until discovering it seems to only be Gatwick departures. Then the inconvenience of getting to Gatwick sunk that idea. Great prices for those in the south east.

  • rupert says:

Many Thanks for the link-most useful.Hope it Works-i read the accor happy mondays promo page from a few weeks ago-it did not work last week, and when i rang the call centre, nobody had a clue about it.BA is a different kettle of fish though,in fairness.

    • Brian says:

It didn’t work last week because, until Monday night, they had the Black Friday sale on for all nights until the end of Feb. So Happy Mondays was left out for a week.

  • Fredric says:

OT: Raffels – have you seen the new loyalty program for Norwegian? I think its still in Beta but current members have received an invite. For every 6th one-way flight you get a “reward” which is valid for 12 month following the reward. You choose what kind of reward you want: +2% extra cashpoints on low-fare tickets, free bagage, free seating or free fast track. The +2% cashpoints is in addition to the standard 2% or 5% if you are Scandinavian and have their Bank Norwegian credit card and you can choose the 2% several times. The maximum bonus cashpoints you can get is +10% bringing the total to 12% (or 15% for Scandies respectively). Quite handy if you travel a lot for business on Norwegian routes.

  • Billy says:

There are some incredible deals with BA Holidays these days.

I’m flying to Bilbao at end of January in J, with 1 night in 4* for £268.00. Y would have been £129.00. Doing the same to Krakow and Hannover. I am currently travelling alone but even based on 1 person in room the deals are pretty awesome.

Also helps that you can pay £150 deposit so outlay for future trips can be balanced.
