UPDATE – APRIL 2024:  This article is now out of date, but don’t worry.  We produce a monthly summary of the top hotel bonus point offers – please click HERE or use the ‘Hotel Offers’ menu above.

Our comprehensive review of the Accor Live Limitless scheme is here.

Le Club AccorHotels, the loyalty programme for Novotel, Ibis, Sofitel, Mercure etc, has launched an online quiz to teach you more about the programme.

The great news is that you will receive 1,050 to 1,100 Le Club AccorHotels points for doing it!  The points post instantly.

You can find it here.

The quiz is called ‘Rewards Quest’.  Whilst I call it a quiz, the number of points you earn is not dependent on how you answer the questions.  Get them right or get them wrong, you will still get the points.

The questions are slightly different if you do not have status in Le Club.  I was only able to earn 1,050 points as a Platinum member whilst a base level member should be able to receive the full 1,100.

If your account is set up to automatically convert points to miles, you will presumably receive these as miles instead.  If not, you will need to earn a few more before you can do anything with them.

The minimum conversion to Avios points is 3,000 points.  You should always transfer Accor points into Iberia and not British Airways because the conversion rate is 1:1 compared with 2:1.

The minimum conversion into an Accor hotel discount is 2,000 points which gets you €40.

At certain times in the past it has been possible to convert points to miles irrespective of your balance.  I don’t think you can do that at the moment but the option may come back.  It is worth claiming your free points just in case.

Note:  I had trouble getting the quiz to work on my PC, both in Chrome and in Internet Explorer.  It worked fine on my iPad.  Your experience may differ.

You can log-in and play “Rewards Quest” here.  It will run until 14th February.

I completed the quest yesterday (17th) but could only manage 950 points as the email subscription quest didn’t want to give me any points, no matter what I did!

I’ve returned to the site this morning (using the links above) to complete the quest for my wife’s account, but the offer seems to have disappeared from the site?

    • MattK says:

I told a colleague about the “quest” and when logging on to it today it appears to have vanished as well. Perhaps they realised it was costing them too many points.

  • Scott says:

I was trying too, finally it now comes to a page where the quest has stopped, seems it was too popular….with over 80,000 entries….

  • Andreas says:

    Seems to be dead:

    Dear members,
Thank you for entering the Le Club Accorhotels Rewards Quest. We had an amazing response to this campaign with a record 80,000 participants. This mission has now ended, but look out for more missions in the future.

    10,000 from HFP 🙂

  • Andrew H says:

Amy at IHG just posted on Flyertalk to confirm it is indeed over.

Anyone who had trouble getting the ‘booking with points’ 50 pointer will apparently get the points credited to their account when the tech team have fixed it.

I took the Quest and earned 1050 points. I am Platinum. Tonight I see they have been wiped. I have lodged an enquiry. I think there was a date of expiry associated as when Award Wallet sucked in the information there was a red mark against the expiry date because it was in the past. The very next day the points have been removed/expired.

    • harry says:

Not transferred out? If I go to My points history, I see:
      15/12/2015 15/12/2015 FFP Systematic Transfer : Iberia 0 -1100

  • Werner says:

Any earned points via thsi promo should immedaitely expire if you do not have a stay within the last 365 days.
Expiration of points is not prevented by gaining points but only by stays.

    • jonboy73 says:

are they so retarded that they would take the points away they just gave you?

  • John says:

Mine “systemically” transferred the same day from Accors to Iberia plus. When I checked the IB site it showed the transfer in. When I went to transfer them to Avios the following day they had disappeared and there was no record on the OB site that they had ever arrived? The Accors site still shows the transfer. All very strange!

Perhaps they will reappear after a suitable hiatus.
