At some point recently, but with no PR announcement, Kerzner International Resorts was added as an Avios-earning partner with British Airways Executive Club.

The name may not ring a bell at first glance, but you will be familiar with its major properties.

Atlantis The Palm, Dubai (click for more details) is one of the leading family resorts in the world (photo below)

Atlantis Dubai

One&Only operates a number of very high-end luxury resorts in The Bahamas, Mexico, Mauritius, The Maldives, South Africa, Australia and Dubai.

One&Only Reethi Rah in The Maldives is generally regarded as the best resort there, whilst the One&Only on The Palm in Dubai is generally seen as the 2nd best property after the Four Seasons.  One&Only Cape Town is an excellent inner-city resort on the Waterfront.

Mazagan is a golf and beach resort in Morocco

All of these properties will give you 2 Avios per $1 spent with them.  This is only on accommodation – incidental spend on food and drink will not count.

You will need to book directly with the hotels to receive Avios.  Package holidays or bookings via third parties such as Expedia will not count.

You can find out more by visiting the British Airways Executive Club hotel partners page and clicking on the Kerzner box.

  • Mud Island Mlungu says:

If you pay on your BA PP Amex card then essentially you’re getting 3.5 per £1 spent in total.

    • JK says:

Also worth a reminder, in Atlantis you get 10% off food & drinks with an Emirates Skywards card, so join up if you going to stay there.

    • Genghis says:

Or slightly more given the 2 Avios per $1 = 2.81 Avios per £1 (at current exchange rate)

  • Maverick says:

Also note the One & Only Palmilla is a Virtuoso property and you should be able to stack it with Virtuoso benefits and the miles.

Only issue is, why did they only do it now I have been to most of the properties in the past few years for honeymoons and baby moons etc. And now that we are travelling less they go and add the avois benefit!

  • Simon Schus says:

    Hi there 🙂

Is there an efficient way to transfer from AMEX Membership Rewards to Accor? Or not so much?

    Simon.

    • Rob says:

Amex to Finnair (1:1), Finnair to Accor (7:1) – although not really ‘efficient’. Does the job if you are desperate for some points for a redemption or to retain status though.

  • Michelle says:

As a side note, deals for the mazagan often come up on travel zoo. I went last spring and the hotel was one of the best I’ve stayed at.
