This is a summary of what is happening:

Thanks for the SPG/Design Hotels tip however it looks like only some Design Hotels are available via the SPG site.

For example no German Design Hotels are listed at all.

Completed a stay with check out at 16th. Gutted!

OT sorry. My wife upgraded her Amex gold to platinum last night (using the link to get 20,000 points for £1,000 spend). It immediately shows as a platinum card in online banking. Does anyone know – if we use the physical gold cards now will it count towards the £1,000 spend or do we need to wait for the physical platinum cards to arrive? Want to get this done ASAP! Thanks.

  • Scallder says:

OT (ever so slightly) but can’t say I’m sorry in this instance – Starwood have agreed to sell to the Anbang-led consortium rather than Marriott 😀 Hopefully (fingers crossed) this will mean SPG will live on as it currently is…Lovely start to the weekend!

Just been told coca cola will be back in the lounges at Heathrow by first week April.

Morning Rob …. always find your updates useful, but the heads-up regarding the BA schedule changes was amazing. Didn’t think we were going to get away this summer, already have a couple of holidays planned for 2016, but had a look at the re-introduced LGW-LCA flights for August and managed to get 4 seats out & back using my Avios. OK, only in ET, but for a total of £140 for the 4 of us it is impossible to beat !! Thanks for posting the new routes 🙂
