News in brief:

2,400 Avios or 2,500 Virgin miles with a £30 Singer ‘Handy Chest’

Tesco Direct has been offering 1,000 Clubcard points on a variety of Singer sewing machines for a few weeks.  The cheapest product in the range – which is an accessory and not a sewing machine – is now back in stock and offers a potential deal.

The £30 Singer ‘Handy Chest’ contains lots of bits and pieces for any sewer and would make a good gift.  It comes with 1,000 Clubcard points so you get 2,400 Avios for your trouble.

Hilton lets you win tickets to any Live Nation concert globally

Hilton HHonors has launched an interesting competition in conjunction with Live Nation.  One UK winner will be allowed to travel to the Live Nation concert of their choice – anywhere in the world!  Hilton will pay for economy air travel for two people, hotel, concert tickets and provide some spending money.

You need to register for the competition via this page.

You will receive one entry for every Hilton stay you make between now and the end of August, up to a maximum of five entries.  You need to attend whatever concert you choose before the end of 2016.

Note that the rules say you can only fly the day before the concert and fly back the day after.  I don’t think they’d let you claim you wanted to see an obscure folk group in Auckland and then turn it into a three week holiday!
