British Airways has launched its Black Friday deals – and they are pretty good.  How does a £1008 Club World trip sound?

These deals can be found on the special BA Black Friday page here.  They are bookable until midnight on Monday.

Club World for £1,008 per person

BA is offering Club World tickets for the exceptionally cheap price of £1,008 per person to the following destinations:

British Airways £1008 £2016 Club World

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Baltimore
  • Chicago
  • New York (Newark and JFK)
  • Philadelphia
  • Washington
  • Abu Dhabi
  • Dubai
  • Muscat

North American destination require outbound travel (return when you like) between 18th December and 2nd January.

Middle East routes require outbound travel between 5 June and 15 June 2017.  This is in the middle of Ramadan so you will find some hotels operating reduced facilities during the day.

£1,008 return is based on two or more people travelling.  Solo travellers will pay £1,208.  This seems a bit odd but I don’t make the rules.

Connections from selected regional and Irish airports are FREE.  These are Aberdeen, Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Belfast City and Dublin.

This offer only runs until midnight on Monday 28th November.  Seats are limited, however, so I would book ASAP if you are interested.

The BA Black Friday site is here.  You must book these tickets on ba.com here.

£99 per person BA Holidays deals

Whilst potentially less headline-grabbing than £1,008 Club World tickets, these BA Holidays deals may also be worth a look.

These flights are all Euro Traveller / Economy.

The following deals will be bookable via the BA Holidays website here from £99 per person for hotel AND flights:

Barcelona – two nights at the 2* Lami, travelling November 1 – March 31

Venice – two nights at the 3* Centrale Hotel (Mestre), travelling November 2 – March 29

Rome – two nights at the 4* Cristoforo Colombo, travelling November 22 – January 31

Nice – two nights at the 3* Comfort Suites Cannes Mandelieu, travelling November 24 – December 14

Jersey – two nights at the 4* Golden Sands, travelling January 22 – February 8

Krakow – two nights at the 3* Eden, travelling January 17 – March 13

Malaga – two nights at the 3* Adriano, travelling November 20 – December 14

Alicante – two nights at the 3* Best Western Albahia, travelling December 8 – January 27

Naples / Sorrento – two nights at the 3* Joyfull, travelling January 13 – March 12

Turin – two nights at the 4* Diplomatic, travelling January 4 – January 15

Edinburgh – two nights at the 3* Murrayfield Hotel & Lodge, travelling January 8 – January 31 and departing Gatwick

As there are a limited number of rooms at these properties, I would book sooner rather than later.  Other deals may also have been loaded – I recommend having a poke around the BA Holidays website here and seeing what you can find.

  • Macca says:

Disappointed, was hoping for a sub-£700 NYC CW flight if I used a chunk of Avios. No matter how discounted, >£1000 CW flights still make the Mrs want to spend 50% less for Eco with another airline 🙁

    • Simmo says:

Looks like you can….. Part Pay is also enhanced.

      £1008 + 34,600 Avios = £758

      • Macca says:

72,800 avios for £500 off hardly compares to 30,000 for £700 off 🙁

        • barry cutters says:

Where does 30k for £700 come from? You might as well make up an imaginary value up. Eg. I want £1million off for 500 avios.
Which everway you look at it this is a decent deal . £1000 club world fares

  • Alan Hunt says:

AA have the same offer with additional US airports included

  • Andy says:

Can you combine with sale fares?

  • Kevin says:

AA seems to have the same deal, but with many more destinations to the US, including Miami. I wonder if Hawai is included.

    • Polly says:

Kevin, sadly Hawaii not included, first place l looked for. Farthest over is ORD. very good prices tho, even for BA, using avios brings them right down. We can’t benefit this time, but always on the look out.

  • Temp says:

Is that it for CW?! No Asia, Africa or S America! And why even bother with ME sale in June?… I guess eithers CW bookings are strong or BA is being more stingy (or both) as I’m sure these ‘sales’ covered a lot more in previous years.

  • Nick_C says:

Obviously AA flights are a better option. Their business cabin is vastly superior. 1-2-1 with aisle access from every seat and a lot of privacy. You also get free seat selection on AA, as you should!

I’ve never been charged a CC fee on AA, although if you use the AA website instead of booking through BA then you won;t get BA tier points.

    • jamie says:

you do get tier points, but earn fewer avios if ticketed on AA flight number

    • Richmond says:

Of course you will get tier points if you book via AA website.

    • Gavin says:

Presume you mean enhanced Avios earn rate by spending on BAPP?

    • Macca says:

Thank you for pointing this out! I was not aware and about to book BA flights. Changed to AA aircraft (via ba.com) and am much happier about the product!

    • Nick_C says:

Sorry. Senior moment. Yes, you get tier points. What I should have said was if you book an AA flight through AA it doesn’t qualify for status on BA. If you book the same flight as a BA code chare, it does qualify for status. Tier points either way!

      • Alan says:

I don’t quite follow – you definitely get tier points either way and therefore you are earn towards status either way. Your BA status is also recognised on AA via OW equivalence. There are slight Avios earning differences between BA (150% biz/250% first) and AA (125% biz/150% first) coded business flights, is that maybe what you’re meaning?

        • Nick_C says:

As well as tier points, you need to fly with BA 2 or 4 times a year for status. If you book through BA, your AA flights counts as BA. If you book through AA it doesn’t.

          • Alan says:

Ahh – now I get you 🙂 At least there’s one upside connecting from the regions – a single return trip on BA to anywhere longhaul means you’ve hit the 4 flights in one trip so I always forget about it as a requirement!

          • Alan says:

(plus even on AA flights you’d get the outbound and return domestic connecting flights!)

  • Swissy says:

It seems that for the NYC offer, travel needs to be completed by Jan 6th

  • Ismail says:

Extremely frustrated by how London centric all of this is. For the holiday offers, I cannot choose Manchester as a departing airport and have it lay out all the existing destinations to me.

    Pass.

    • Ismail says:

It looks like there are absolutely no black friday offers from Manchester.

      • Lady London says:

Singapore Airlines has an absolutely splendiferous offer from Manchester to Houston, open till Monday 28th if you want to go somewhere from Manchester. About £250 or so return.

    • James A says:

It’s absolutely not possible to get £1008 pp on BA from MAN in this sale (middle east in particular, is about £1500 minimum).

On the up side though, New York is only £900! if you fly on Aer Lingus instead of BA.
