£50 UK Novotel rooms at 5.50pm – and how to stack them

The Novotel brand owned by Accor is, apparently, 50 years old this year.

To celebrate, they are launching a huge sale of £50 rooms TODAY ONLY – at 5.50pm, for 50 minutes.

Details are a little sketchy – see this page of the Novotel website for details.

What I have gleaned from elsewhere is that £50 rooms will be available in 34 UK Novotel properties, including London, between 5.50pm and 6.40pm today (Wednesday).

moneysavingexpert says that the stay dates will be 1st July to 28th January 2018.

According to the Daily Mirror, these are the hotels included.  I am not sure if this is just a cut and paste of every UK Novotel or not!

I reviewed the London property at Blackfriars last year.  It is very impressive and even has a decent pool.  The Canary Wharf hotel is brand new – it literally only opened a few weeks ago – and you would get a good result if you stayed there I’m sure.  I might even try to bag it for a review.

    Eventually managed to get the website to work enough to show me availability at Blackfriars, only for the site to just sit there spinning after I put my card details in and clicked Book, After that, all the availability was gone.

    Not impressed really.

    Total rubbish, ended up phoning and put on hold for ages,( this is money making scam) got a answer eventually,told them that 4of us where trying to book online for any dates and except for 1night all not available. Novotel should be ashamed.

    Managed to get a room to wake up to an email saying booking failure to payment, there was nothing wrong with my card so rang them up to be told it was nothing to do with my card but they had over booked and they were sorry! Also that they had received hundreds of calls saying the same thing! What a pile of poo!

    I also got told my Edinburgh booking was cancelled via email this morning.

    Just had a further email from the hotel direct stating they will honour my booking if I call up and pay manually. I guess their payment system crashed.

        They emailed me. They will hold the room for a month so plenty of time to decide.

        Maybe decision being made on a hotel by hotel basis

    I joined Club Accor and downloaded the app as I thought the website would get more traffic. Took a couple of attempts but managed to book a room in Liverpool for December.

    I managed to book two nights and got confirmation emails, but neither night is showing up in my bookings on my account. I was logged when I made the bookings, and payment has been taken from my AMEX. Any ideas?

      Same here, but if you search for the bookings using the booking reference then they can be found.
