£50 UK Novotel rooms at 5.50pm – and how to stack them

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

The Novotel brand owned by Accor is, apparently, 50 years old this year.

To celebrate, they are launching a huge sale of £50 rooms TODAY ONLY – at 5.50pm, for 50 minutes.

Details are a little sketchy – see this page of the Novotel website for details.

Novotel Canary Wharf

What I have gleaned from elsewhere is that £50 rooms will be available in 34 UK Novotel properties, including London, between 5.50pm and 6.40pm today (Wednesday).

moneysavingexpert says that the stay dates will be 1st July to 28th January 2018.

According to the Daily Mirror, these are the hotels included.  I am not sure if this is just a cut and paste of every UK Novotel or not!

I reviewed the London property at Blackfriars last year.  It is very impressive and even has a decent pool.  The Canary Wharf hotel is brand new – it literally only opened a few weeks ago – and you would get a good result if you stayed there I’m sure.  I might even try to bag it for a review.

How to stack this with two current promotions

There are two deals which will stack with this offer and make your room even cheaper than £50.

Offer 1 – register here – gets you 500 bonus Accor points on your first UK Accor stay after registering and 1,000 extra Accor points on your 2nd UK Accor stay

Offer 2 – ‘triple or quadruple Accor points’ on every stay (full details in this article, register here) if you are staying before 3rd September

Full details of this offer are on the Novotel website here.

Site crashed after 30 seconds 🙂

  • Chile says:

I have managed to connect to the site. Three different hotels, different dates. No £50 rooms at any. So typical of Accor.

    • xcalx says:

Same here managed to check 2 hotels 4 dates off the list on Novotel. lowest price £129 .

  • John W says:

Searched for Heathrow Novotel for 23/08/17 , lowest price was £69
Thought I had something wrong , tried again and the website is crashed !
Surprised at 17.52 that no standard rooms available !

  • Pk says:

Yea this isn’t really working. I go from the launch screen, 8th July 2017, London Tower Bridge, £203

    • John W says:

Glad it’s not just me with no £50 room !
This is the reason I moved away from Accor , not the best chain

    • Pk says:

Oops disregard that, not a standard room as none available. 🙂 But crashing every few attempts.

  • Andrew Tucker says:

These silly promotions just lead to disappointment. Less satisfied customers than satisfied I’d say.

    • Carl says:

Agreed. We’d be considering booking a Novotel for an upcoming trip to Southampton anyway. Now we won’t be.

  • Carl says:

It appears even when you do get through that all standard rooms are not pricing at £50.

  • Waribai says:

Got through. Selected my room then just…spinning circles

  • Chris Palmer says:

Standard rooms at a number of hotels are definitely not £50 per night….
