£50 UK Novotel rooms at 5.50pm – and how to stack them

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

The Novotel brand owned by Accor is, apparently, 50 years old this year.

To celebrate, they are launching a huge sale of £50 rooms TODAY ONLY – at 5.50pm, for 50 minutes.

Details are a little sketchy – see this page of the Novotel website for details.

Novotel Canary Wharf

What I have gleaned from elsewhere is that £50 rooms will be available in 34 UK Novotel properties, including London, between 5.50pm and 6.40pm today (Wednesday).

moneysavingexpert says that the stay dates will be 1st July to 28th January 2018.

According to the Daily Mirror, these are the hotels included.  I am not sure if this is just a cut and paste of every UK Novotel or not!

I reviewed the London property at Blackfriars last year.  It is very impressive and even has a decent pool.  The Canary Wharf hotel is brand new – it literally only opened a few weeks ago – and you would get a good result if you stayed there I’m sure.  I might even try to bag it for a review.

How to stack this with two current promotions

There are two deals which will stack with this offer and make your room even cheaper than £50.

Offer 1 – register here – gets you 500 bonus Accor points on your first UK Accor stay after registering and 1,000 extra Accor points on your 2nd UK Accor stay

Offer 2 – ‘triple or quadruple Accor points’ on every stay (full details in this article, register here) if you are staying before 3rd September

Full details of this offer are on the Novotel website here.

I was able to search for 6 different hotels in London (july 8-11) — first immediated (~5s) of 5pm. All had 0 standard rooms available. £500+ for each. I actually think it was standard rooms only and they were already sold out before it started as it’s standard rooms only. I see York on a weds in Nov so it’s running. Just… meh.

Managed to reserve a room at Novotel Canary Wharf mid week in August 🙂

CAn;t even get the site to work properly. FIrst choice not £50, then won’t load dates or room numbers.

Just tried to book a London hotel and it came through as Coventry, for £50.00

So working but also not working

Got to checkout for a cheap night in Edinburgh only to see spinning circles for 10 mins. Now can only get an error message. I didn’t expect any better to be honest, but why do thy bother. It was wholly forseeeable for them that they will have ten times more disgruntled customers than happy ones. Muppets.

True. No £50 rooms though. At least the hotel/dates that I am interested in.
