HfP shortlisted for four major business travel awards

I’m pleased to announce that Head for Points has been shortlisted for four gongs at the Business Travel Journalism Awards.
These are the main annual UK awards for business travel writing, organised by Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Sponsors this year include Lufthansa Group, Thistle / Guoman Hotels, Air Canada, United Airlines, Travelport, China Southern Airlines and Avis Budget.
The four awards we are shortlisted for are:
Business Travel Editor of the Year (Rob)
Best Newcomer to Business Travel or Meetings and Events Journalism (Anika)
Best Digital Strategy
Scoop of the Year (Rob, for this British Airways story)
The winners will be announced at a dinner at the Natural History Museum on 5th October.
Win or lose, we are very happy to have been shortlisted. It is a good way to end a 12-month period which has seen us move into a proper office and break 1 million monthly page views on a regular basis.
We are pleased that the panel of judges has been able to see that, behind the informal ‘first person’ format of Head for Points, we do – on a good day – put out articles which are on a par with traditional print business travel journalism.
