Avios Ireland: Win 1 million Avios when you convert your Real Rewards points

SuperValu has launched a competition giving away 1 million Avios

As a reminder, our coverage of Avios Ireland (AerClub) is exclusively on the Head for Points website.  You will not receive these articles via our daily emails unless it is a deal which UK residents can take part in.

Whilst Tesco has a major presence in Ireland, AerClub has teamed up with supermarket chain SuperValu.

We have written about the relationship between SuperValu and AerClub a few times.

The competition

There is one prize of 1 million Avios, 100 prizes of 10,000 Avios and two return flights to New York to be one.

To enter you must have a valid Real Rewards card as well as an Aer Club account.

Simply convert Real Rewards points into Avios by 31st October and you will be entered into the prize draw.

The minimum transfer level is 50 Real Rewards points or a €2.50 Money Back Voucher.

You earn one Real Rewards point for every €1 you spend in SuperValu.  You can convert Real Rewards points into Avios at the rate of 1:1.  This makes it roughly half as generous as the Tesco partnership which gets you 2.4 Avios per £1 spent.

Full details can be found on the SuperValu site here.

  • milkbottles says:

Has anyone received the 250 Avios points for signing up to AerClub at the end of last year?

    • David says:

No. They even had the cheek to send me an email last month with the subject “Claim your 250 bonus Avios points”!

      • avidsaver says:

+1. Their customer service is useless.

      • Mzungu says:

+1 I received an email stating that the sign up deadline had been extended to 31st August. I didn’t waste any more of my time signing up again. I have no intention of flying with them if this is how they treat potential customers.

  • Lee says:

I’ve had no issues, but not sure if that’s because I live between Uk and Ireland. Super value also regularly offer to convert 1 rewards to 3 Aerclub/Avios. So if you have them hold on to them until the offer appears. Supervalue has an app which is easy to use. Probably only good for Irish residents I guess.

  • James says:

Supervalu also running a 200 avios per purchase again.

I had to follow up with email but the €1 DHgate purchases from the previous special offer have now shown up as pending. Works out at 0.45p per avios point and less if combined with a 2 or 3 conversion to Avios.
