Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Get 2400 Avios, 2500 Virgin miles or £30 of Uber credit with £40 of Hasbro board games

We tend to leave Tesco Clubcard offers to our sister site Shopper Points  these days.  This one is particularly generous, however, and by the time Shopper Points returns on Monday (it takes the weekend off) you would have missed the last day for standard delivery.

Tesco Direct has launched a very generous extra Clubcard points offer on games, just in time for Christmas.

Until 21st December you will get

500 Tesco Clubcard points are worth 1200 Avios, 1250 Virgin Flying Club miles, or £15 of Uber credit which means that the right combination of games can give you a great return via the extra points.

The best combination would be two boxes of Buckaroo at £10 each – in case you can find two kids in your family who would be happy with this game as a Christmas present. It’s also possible to eBay this game but I’m not sure if it’s worth the hassle and the postage fee.

The full list of games available can be found by clicking through the links above.

If you missed it on Shopper Points earlier in the week, you can also get 1200 Avios with £30 of selected toys.

Tomorrow, 17th December, is the last day to take advantage of this Tesco Direct offer.

You can pick up 500 bonus Tesco Clubcard points when spending £30 or more on a combination of selected Play-Doh, My Little Pony and Nerf guns.

It takes the weekend off? Obviously shoppers are just not as committed as us flyers. 🙂

  • Anna says:

OT but Tesco related – I contacted them this week to say that I am very disappointed, given how much wine we order (and drink!) from them, that we never seem to get extra Clubcard points vouchers these days. I got an email back saying these offers are randomly generated and that they felt my disappointment (so basically fobbing me off!). However, today I have got an email offering me 300 points with a Tesco Direct spend (triggered with 2 pairs of tights!) and 500 points on a wine order (will use this in the New Year when the wine rack is dry). Wondering if it’s a coincidence….

OT: Does anybody know how often or when Heathrow Rewards give a bonus for transferring into Avios or BA account ?

    • Rob says:

They do do them. They also did a ‘2 x value for Heathrow shopping voucher’ promo this year which was excellent value. Hold on to them unless you need the Avios.

  • Talay says:

OT but I am looking for the best executive club / lounge in London for a stay over Xmas.

    Suggestions thus far are:

    Langhams
    Intercontinental
    Marriott Park Lane

    Others ? reasons ?

    • Rob says:

Conrad lounge is good. IC Park Lane lounge has great view but I was not over-excited by food (but never been at breakfast). PL is great for Winter Wonderland if kids there. Conrad location is a little isolated albeit opposite a tube.

  • Rob says:

Some actually pretty good deals this time in the extra tesco points selection! Game of Life and the Simon Optix game are not cheaper elsewhere. Thanks very much 🙂
