I have dropped this in as an extra article today because it won’t last long and I would prefer readers to get them.

The DoubleTree hotel in Bristol (Cadbury House) is hosting an evening with Marco Pierre White on Tuesday 13th February.  The cost is 50,000 Hilton Honors points for TWO people.

The hotel is described as “the South West’s finest four-star boutique hotel and spa.”

This is what you get:

DoubleTree Bristol Cadbury House

“The original “bad boy” of cooking is coming to DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South – Cadbury House! Legendary chef, Marco Pierre White, will be visiting our the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at the hotel on Tuesday, February 13th. This unique event gives you the opportunity to meet the man behind books such as Marco Made Easy and The Great British Feast. You and your guest will be treated to a glass of fizz on arrival as well as a jaw dropping three course meal, cooked by our chefs .

This package for two (2) includes:
-Meet & Greet with Marco Pierre White
-Three course meal at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill
-One cookbook signed by Marco Pierre White
-One (1) night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South – Cadbury House on Thursday, February 13, 2018, including breakfast
-Glass of Fizz upon arrival

Please note this package does not include rail or airfare.”

Given that you get a hotel stay included plus dinner for two plus the ‘soft’ stuff, it is a good use of 50,000 Hilton Honors points.

Don’t forget that the new Aerospace Bristol museum – which includes Concorde – has just opened so you could tie in a visit to that.  I would be keen myself if it wasn’t half term.

You can redeem here.  There are only two packages so don’t hang about.  The hotel website is here.

YES! Thank you Rob, this is perfect for our Valentines Day. One package now remaining… N.B. it’s Tuesday 13th Feb (Hilton website is incorrect too but the T&Cs confirm Tues 13th). Standard reward rate here is 30,000 points… bargain indeed!

  • Paul says:

    Thanks for the heads up!
I took the last one 🙂

See you there, Paul! I’m so excited… mainly because I’m hoping this will finally enable Mrs W to realise that the points hobby is worthwhile! Apparently F to New York didn’t quite cut it…

I have the same problem. Trying to get her to churn amex gold cards has thus far not been fruitful!

Not a bad hotel either. We stayed a night and ate in the MPW grill before Glastonbury festival a few years ago. Food was generally good and really nice grounds.

One of our regular hotel stays. Sometimes points but also comes up very reasonable for cash every so often. Free breakfasts and a bottle of wine and upgrade to a deluxe room usual. Nice leisure facilities with a nice Italian restaurant attached if you don’t want MPW stakehouse. My wife likes it for all these reasons plus easy reach of Weston SM, Brean head, Stroud Shopping Outlets and for me The Avalon Marshes Bird/Wildlife reserves. My daughters got me a Groupon Bird of Prey experience for Christmas one year and coincidentally the centre was a few 100 yards away. It wasn’t something I thought I’d particularly enjoy. It was very enjoyable
