New BA Holidays Club World and Club Europe flash sale – New York with hotel from £1,382

British Airways Holidays has launched a special Club World and Club Europe flash sale.

There are some decent prices here but you need to book by Monday 16th April.  The headline prices may seem a little higher than the last time they ran this offer, but they do seem to be including additional hotel nights – often four instead of three.

For long-haul, you can see the deals available with Club World flights here.

BA Holidays

The ‘lead in’ flight and hotel offer based on Club World flights is:

New York – £1,382 in Winter including four nights in a 4* hotel (£1,476 in Summer)

Abu Dhabi – £1,299 including three nights in a 4* hotel (seven nights from £1,393)

Toronto – £1,532 including four nights in a 4* hotel

These prices are based on two people sharing.

Many other routes are available.  The BA Holidays Club World promo page is here.

And short-haul deals too

Here is the BA Holidays home page for Club Europe flights.

Headline five-star hotel deals include:

Seville – Club Europe flights and three nights in a five-star hotel from £302

Alicante – Club Europe flights and two nights in a five-star hotel from £313

Algarve / Faro – Club Europe flights and four nights in a five-star hotel from £351

Lisbon – Club Europe flights and two nights in a five-star hotel from £423

Malta – Club Europe flights and three nights in a five-star hotel from £450

Again, all prices are per person based on two travelling.

Many other destinations are available, as are options featuring cheaper hotels.

Get special BA Holidays booking benefits

As usual with BA Holiday you don’t have to pay in full when booking. Apart from a small deposit, you only need to pay the balance five weeks before departure.

Remember that you also earn a bonus 1 Avios per £1 for booking with BA Holidays on top of the Avios you will earn from the flights and from your credit card.

One minor downside is that BA Holidays packages do not earn On Business points for the flights in BA’s small business loyalty scheme, but this will only impact a few HFP readers.  You WILL earn Avios and tier points on the flight as usual.

The BA Holidays home page is here if you want to find out more.

To maximise your miles when paying, your best bet is the British Airways American Express Premium Plus card which earns double Avios (3 per £1) when you book at ba.com or via BA Holidays.  You do not get double Avios if you book with the free British Airways American Express card

Another option is American Express Preferred Rewards Gold which offers double points – 2 per £1 – when you book flight tickets directly with an airline.

OT – tried calling now the BA US call centre to book with a flight with a 241 voucher. First time i am doing this, but would have thought flights for 5 April 2019 open today (15 April 2018). Lady over the telephone told me that they will only upload these tomorrow and that around 1am GMT (which is when their call centre closes). She suggested I call in the morning at 6am.

Any thoughts as to whether her advice is accurate or alternatives for call centre to use if the US one is closed?

Thank you in advance for the feedback!

    • Scallder says:

It’ll be 1am BST – apologies for being pedantic but it’s always midnight GMT so for UK time changes from winter to summer. So they should come online in 30 mins. Try the Hong Kong call centre – they’ve been able to do it for me before…

      • Louie says:

Unless it has changed since I tried that, the Hong Kong call centre hours are different at weekends so that would not have worked today.

    • Genghis says:

If avios rich could try the “book singles online and sort it in the morning” approach

    • Luiza says:

Thank you all for the feedback. BST makes sense – reason for them going live only at 1am BST rather than GMT. Called again in the morning however the BA centre in UK and they told me same thing – tickets only go live tonight – so actually 17th in the morning. My math says that is not 355 days and not a leap year, but fingers’ crossed i will manage to book tonight.

As an alternative, i can indeed look to book singles and sort it out in the morning, should be enough for the outbound leg.
