  O/T bit of a horrorshow email from Virgin Money: ‘Harry, you’re close to completing your life insurance policy with us…Your final Life Insurance price is saved and waiting. Get your paws on it…You just need to check your details and confirm your application and you can be fully covered from today!’

  Not sure why they sent this as I logged in & my policy was set up as intended on 21/06!

  O/T as no Bits today.

  I received my email from Virgin inviting me to get their new credit card with the extra bonus. I may be blind but I couldn’t see a date that this deal would close – have I missed something? I’ve just (within the last week) received my shiny new IHG card and I’m a bit reluctant to have another CC application on my file straight away.

  Re the Wyndham offer, I completed a couple of cheapo stays in Ontario last week, and the bonus 15k posted straight away with the points from the second stay, very efficient, no problems.

    Yep! I seem to have a lot of food offers too, including Vapianos. You order via a touchscreen and can customise your order really easily. But last time I went and tried to pay via Amex, they said they didn’t accept it! But I definitely saw another couple with a non-gold (read, less gaudy!) Amex card use it successfully ha.

  It seems newly opened Holiday Inn Express just zeroed their award availability completely. I’ve been checking on that for 3 weeks and it’s zeroed. There are no award nights available on a single date till the end of September (didn’t check further). Still plenty of standard rooms are up for sale for as low as 112 eur. Doesn’t look like a fair play.

  Rob, can you reach IHG and ask for resolution or at least comment from them?

  Hi,

  My wife has just received a letter offering her a bonus if she applies for the Virgin Atlantic Reward Credit Card – 20k miles

  Upon visiting the link for the offer we can see a bonus – 60k miles – for the Reward Plus Credit Card.

  Is she entitled to the bonus on either card or just the one mentioned by the letter?

  P.S – I haven’t got the offer even though we both cancelled all our MBNA cards back in December…

    If you toggle, you will likely see the white card has lower bonus.
