Marriott Rewards has launched some new concert tickets for their suite at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.

The catered box at the O2 is not a bad place to see a concert, as my review here shows. The food and drink on offer is excellent, albeit you are some distance from the stage.

This is a list of the concerts available as of last night.  The first few listed have been around for a while, but there are some good new options for November onwards.

Went to the O2 SPG suite last week to see Kylie and had a blast. Food was good, booze was free flowing and host was great fun. Even managed to ply the wife and I with extra tequilas! Music was good too. Well worth doing people.

  • Chris SV says:

The flights I had booked from BRS to AGP for next June were cancelled last week. Now flying out of LHR instead (after being on the phone for 1.5 hours to sort it, then they did it wrong)

It’s a shame as BRS is my local airport and I really like the aircraft. A senior representative of BA CityFlyer said to me they were looking to invest more in the regions. Clearly not.

  • Tom says:

OT Does anyone know if the latest Double Avios offer will apply to the first 10 sectors booked or the first 10 sectors booked and flown? I have a mix of short and long-haul work travel to book and the T&Cs are unclear.

I’m able to book the long-haul first, but need to know if I should move some of the earlier short-haul flights away from BA.

    • Alex W says:

Flown – if your BA number is on the booking. Any sectors you don’t want to credit to BA, put another FF number in, eg Alaska.

  • Faithy says:

    OT.
I recently got the purple SPG Amex.
I have points on it but can’t transfer?
    Is this a common problem?

    • Genghis says:

You don’t transfer the points. They are transferred to your Marriott account. However, link currently broken and points aren’t being transferred as reported on here multiple times – review comments in articles for the last couple of weeks.

    • M says:

How did you get a purple one? I thought they were still using the red design?

Travelling CE Heathrow to AMS. Have Priority pass as well.
    Which lounge do you suggest?
Also, anything hidden gems in AMS to do with my wife?

    • Genghis says:

Depending on the weather, we really enjoyed renting an electric boat from these guys for a few hours and having a picnic https://www.boaty.nl/
I’d choose something with a bit more power next time though.

    • ChrisC says:

Hermitage Amsterdam – I thought Classic Beauties (on until next January) was stunning.

Little Church of Our Lord in the Attic

But look at the I AMsterdam website for lots of suggestions. There are lots of niche museums in Amsterdam

    • Tom Cook says:

Bitterballen must be ordered with every drink….presuming you’re not veggie!

  • PointsChaser says:

    OT.

Flying AMS – BKK – AMS Club World on BA without any status. The flight from Amsterdam leaves at 1105 and connects with the BA flight leaving LHR at 1515.

I can select my seat for no charge 24 hours before departure. Will I be able to select my seat on the BA leg at 1106 (24 hours before my trip starts) or will it be 1516 (24 hours before LHR – BKK leg departs)?

    • PointsChaser says:

Typo in the above, it should read:

Will I be able to select my seat on the LHR – BKK leg at 1106 (24 hours before my trip departing from AMS starts) or will it be 1516 (24 hours before LHR – BKK leg departs)?

    • Anna says:

I’m not 100% clear what your itinerary is, but if you are travelling on a single PNR booking number you should be able to check in 24 hours before the first leg of the journey.

      • PointsChaser says:

Yes, it will be one ticket purchased directly from the BA website for AMS – BKK – AMS.

  • Vivian says:

O/T has everyone who had CityJet bookings received the new Aer Lingus booking references?

I still haven’t received mine. Messaged Aer Lingus via Twitter but they redirected me to CityJet, despite the emails sent by CityJet earlier in the summer saying that any queries should be sent to Aer Lingus from September onwards. Both CityJet and Aer Lingus say they’ll now look into this but so far no updates…

  • Rich says:

O/T – my flight to DXB in November has just been changed to being operated by Air Belgium and I’d booked WT+ so have been downgraded to economy. Ouch! What are Air Belgium like and does anyone know what compo I’m due for the forced downgrade? Although my flight, BA105, was scheduled as a 777, I presume this is all related to the 787 engine issue.
