  Hi. Just saw this at the bottom of my new Amex Platinum statement.

  Effective 1 August 2019, your Priority Pass membership that is included as a Card benefit, will no longer entitle you complimentary access to certain non-lounge airport experiences. Non-lounge airport experiences and outlets include but are not limited to restaurants, cafés and bars where a food and beverage credit is offered as an alternative to entrance into a traditional airport lounge. Some popular options, such as the Grain Store Café & Bar at London Gatwick, will be retained. Please visit americanexpress.com/uk/findalounge or visit the Membership tab in the Amex App to view the full list of lounges and non-lounge airport esperiences that you can access.

    It’s good they haven’t axed the Grain Store. Bit of a blow for use elsewhere though. For airports where Priority Pass commonly get turned away, it’s looking like options will be much more limited for those without Status or Business/First tickets.

      Pfft I was turned away from the new Gatwick Lounge this morning because I didn’t have tier status with Iberia. I had to point out that you don’t need status when on a business ticket. They then blamed Iberia and let me through?!? Incidentally the bacon and omelette rolls have been enhanced to just bacon.

  For the Groupon offer, which costs £6 in order to be entitled to the reduction, can I buy a plan for somebody else? Or is it nominative?

    Priority Pass don’t know who buys the voucher – you redeem it via their website using the code and can fill in whatever details you want – so you should be ok.

  The Groupon price with one visit included is £89 – as expected. I bought this one a couple of years ago. So clearly a better deal as the first entry is then only £10.
