Earn bonus Heathrow Rewards points when you use ‘Reserve & Collect’ for your airport shopping

  They weren’t the two times I tried it. The last time was an ipad last year which was no problem, one was just selected off the shelf for me in seconds so it would have been quicker just to pop into Dixons. First time was a few years ago when they had a great deal (mistake I think) on an Issey Miyaki gift set. I reserved it but it wasn’t there and no longer available when I got to the airport. Staff told me to go and relax and they would sort it out. They called later, arranged to meet at the lounge and presented me with a bag containing various Miyaki products for free, compliments of Heathrow Airport 🙂

  My past experiences of reserve and collect have been disappointing! They actually offer a more “bespoke” service where you can email them a list of anything you want which could be sold at any store and they gather it for you. But there were always things missed out or the order was never ready on time despite being told it was!

  I’ve always had a good experience – items ordered from the website (or items ordered by email to my specific requests) have all been put aside and waiting for me to pick them up. This has been at Dixons Travel, WDF and Mont Blanc.

  Bonus points rarely track for me so you may need to email Heathrow Rewards but they’re really helpful.

  This works for items that cost less than the bonus points – but much faster just going to the tillwoth the product than waiting for them to find your reserved items

  I’ve used it a few times and it has worked brilliantly. Most recently a couple of weeks ago when I ordered and collected some new Airpods Pro from Dixons in T5. It was a very slick process – it took only a couple of minutes to pick them up. Because they are so hard to get hold of at the moment they were the only place I could find that had them in stock, and the shop asssitant said that because they were so short of them they were only giving them to people that had reserved them, and not walk-ups. Furthermore the price had reduced since I ordered them and they pro-actively gave me the lower price. I would definitely use again.

  As a new member of Heathrow Rewards I signed up using the BA promo code for 3,000 bonus points with a £150 spend mentioned above. Does anyone know if my first spend over £150 also happens to be on a watch (eligible for the watches, jewellery and tech bonus points bonus points upto 10,000) do the 2 offers stack, or will one take precedence?

    They stack, you will get both. If not email them very helpful customer services. Well I got both last month so only going by my own experience.

  OT, but still Heathrow Rewards.

  On some of the occasions that I have been in LHR to meet someone, I have seen signs that I can get HR points when parking, while waiting for people to arrive. But I have never managed to actually do this. No info on the parking machines.

  Am I being thick?
  Any ideas??

    I would like to know this as I begrudge the parking cost more than the 120 mile round trip to pick up or drop off my daughter. I know I could park in Long Stay for free but it’s not very convenient.

    I always forget to do it when I am picking someone up (one day I’ll remember!), but in theory you just need your Heathrow Rewards card. FAQs say;

    “For the majority of our car parks, you can insert your Heathrow Rewards card into the payment machines or exit barriers when making a payment. 1.Insert ticket – 2. Insert Heathrow Rewards card 3. Insert payment”

    Done it once – if I recall correctly you
    a) insert your parking ticket
    b) insert your Heathrow Rewards card (I can’t remember if it’s the parking ticket slot or the credit card slot though)
    c) pay as normal.

  World Duty Free also has 10% discount offer on Reserve & Collect orders made between 5th and 31st December (collect before 10 January). BUT of course Heathrow, Bristol, Edinburgh, Southend and Leeds are excluded! Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted, St Pancras and others are included.
