24 January – date from which Curve will add 1.5% surcharge for cardholders (except Metal) for paying HMRC, National Savings & Investments, DVLA Vehicle Tax, and Student Loan Payments when using a credit card as a funding card.

    • TGLoyalty says:

I thought only HMRC were included for now? They said they could add the rest at a later unspecified date? Or have they changed their mind?

      • Shoestring says:

no – they announced most of that list in the press release

        • Shoestring says:

sorry you could be right about ‘future’ implementation of the others on top of HMRC

          • EwanG says:

Sorry you’re right TGLoyalty – HMRC now, others ‘after an initial trial period’

          • melonfarmer says:

The help section says “after an initial trial period with HMRC, other government payments such as NS&I, DVLA Vehicle Tax, and Student Loan Payments will be included as well”.

Thanks for prompting me to look; I thought it was all of the above from the 24th so can continue with NS&I for 1.

  • EwanG says:

31 January – last day for ‘Plus Your Points’ where you can get an easy 75 points, useful for keeping your Enterprise points stash alive (expire with no activity in 3 year period) https://plusyourpoints.enterprise.com

  • Annabel says:

Finally getting round to the pet insurance! It seems as though the 2500 Clubcard points are given only on the minimum of a standard policy not for accident and illness policies. Has this changed? Minimum is £8pm sadly… thanks for any help.

    • Mark M says:

I did this last time, and my cat soon obliged by having a car accident Saturdat night that needed an emergency vet call out, so I was quids in!
      But I don’t think I’ll tempt fate again…

    • Shoestring says:

[Offer excludes Accident & Injury cover and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.]

Accident & injury + illnesses = standard policy, so you’ll be OK
