British Airways Caribbean flight discounts – Club World business class from £1,399

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

British Airways has added some additional Caribbean discounts to the current sale, for Autumn travel.

All are priced at £1,399 return.  The destinations included are:

  • Antigua
  • Bridgetown / Barbados
  • Grenada
  • Kingston

  • Port of Spain
  • Providenciales
  • St Kitts
  • St Lucia
  • Tobago

You need to travel out between 18th August and 2nd October, returning by 9th October.

Clearly this is hurricane season in some parts of the Caribbean, but the risk varies sharply by island so do your research.   Barbados, for example, has not been hit by a hurricane since 1955.

You should also price up any booking via BA Holidays as well as looking at ‘flight only’, since this could lead to additional savings.  You could try a ‘flight and car’ booking if you were determined to book your accomodation separately.

Booking via BA Holidays brings other benefits too – you can just pay a deposit now (the balance is due seven weeks before departure) and you earn 1 extra Avios per £1 spent.  Your flights also earn Avios and tier points as usual.  The only downside is that your flights will not earn points in the BA On Business small business loyalty scheme.

Best T3 OneWorld lounge? (business class, sapphire status)

    • Shoestring says:

there’s no best, Cathay Pacific is OK for noodles, Champagne, comfy chair & footstool looking out to runway – Qantas great for airy spaciousness, Aussie fizz, fresh salad/ veggie stuff & carved roast lamb at 5pm, gin bar – AA good for JDs on ice & snacks, decent self pour bar – BA has an extensive wine collection, more Champagne on demand

BA is too crowded sometimes/ try a couple of the others (or all 4) would be my advice

Personal preference is now Qantas. But if you enjoy a few hours in the airport try the Cathay one too.

Just as I settle on a pseudo permanent strategy, the plates shift again…

    No confirmation on the fee?

    • LST says:

      It’s still £75.00.
Annoying change as this was my go to card and worked well with Emirates Skywards too. In the 9+ years I have held the card we managed to earn at 1:1 Starwood and then 1:3 Bonvoy meaning we could collect a decent number of points and also received many outsized rewards such as regular suite upgrades. 1:2 is a big cut in the earning rare, but even so it still seems to be the best hotel earning card out there?
Need to decide whether to keep it or change to another hotel loyalty earning card. Any ideas?

It is now an equivalent 1% card, may go to the IHG premium card and have the two year break from amex

    • TGLoyalty says:

Yes the fee stays at £75

    • Freddy says:

      Same £75 fee…

    • Planeconcorde says:

Fee remains at £75 per annum.

  • Simon says:

I was very happy with the SPG card. Whilst I’m not particularly surprised at the devaluation I simply can’t justify keeping it now.
