  • Crowtravel says:

Thanks Rob – managed to get two seats to Cape Town in mid-March for £990.97 per person.

  • TP says:

Easy enough to find, and are even cheaper from INV as usual. Also roughly same price from MAN!

    • ChrisC says:

Not seeing it any cheapoer from INV or MAN but far more expensive

What dates and destinations you looking at?

A straight LHR-JFK is £979 for my planned dates in March (2nd to 9th) . INV is 2355 and MAN 2500

      • Graeme says:

Yes, I’m a regular user of INV to start trips. Pricing at at least twice than from GLA or EDI. Am seeing plenty of GLA-USA for £987 late March. Might book a quick Saturday out, Sunday back TP run using BA holidays!

      • Graeme says:

The only real cheap one I’m seeing from INV is INV-LHR-DFW-MEX for £842. CPT also cheap but similar to GLA pricing so not worth the hassle.

        • ChrisC says:

Have repriced my already booked trip for next march (INV-LHR-JFK-MIA-LHR) with one nights hotel

          £600 more expensive from INV

I’d save £30 if I rebooked ex LHR but I’d lose the extra tier points

Not worth it for that trip

Am not saying this is a bad deal but people need to price up all the options to get the best deal.

Also I’m only booking BA Hols as I don’t want too much cash tied up with BA from flight only bookings.

  • stevenhp1987 says:

Discount seems to apply to BA Holidays too (Flight + Hotel)

  • Stuart says:

I can’t get excited about most of these routes, which may not be possible at the time. I take it, if not, its a voucher or rebook with likely much higher fare. I’m still trying to complete USA bookings from 6 months ago.

  • James says:

I presume we’re still banned by POTUS until December 31st…
    Or has something changed?

    • ChrisC says:

      Why December 31st?.

President is not sworn in until 20th January

People are hoping the restrictions will be lifted by next year. In any case book before the 13th and it comes under BWC.

      • James says:

The current president banned UK and EU citizens back in the spring. If I’m not mistaken that ban was in place until December 31st at last check.

I can’t book for next year because I have no idea where I’ll be by then.

If I could fly in November I would.

        • Declan Yates says:

More misinformation. There is no ban on UK and EU citizens. You just cannot have been physically present in the Schengen area, UK, Ireland, China, Brazil or Iran in the preceding 14 days to entering the USA unless you are also a US citizen, Green Card holder or are a very close family relative (e.g. a spouse of a US citizen)

          • James says:

So the UK is not included in the Schengen area in this proclaimation, so there’s no ban on UK citizens?

          • Rob says:

There is a ban on people who have been in the UK. Nothing stops you flying to Turkey, having a 2 week holiday and then flying Istanbul to New York.

      • Stuart says:

So with BWC, lets say booked JFK, flight operating, border closed. Does BWC mean I can book any date beyond without fare change?

        • Andi says:

Flight operating = pay the fare difference but no change fees
Flight cancelled = move to another date for zero cost

          • Stuart says:

Thanks for the clarification. I may be able to “Book with Confidence”, I just don’t have the confidence I will get there. Nothing for the bank of BA this time.

  • Doc says:

Great fares Rob but unfortunately for me, US and India are potentially where I might go but both unlikely to be open before March. So cant use this now.
Will have to wait and see what/ if other offers come later in the year/ New year.

  • Ted says:

Cheers Rob. 2x biz totalling £2300 to Maldives late Feb 👍

    • babyg says:

and youre prob on the new clubsuite 777 too… i find you could move the dates around to get 991per person… ive booked mid feb to same location!

      • Ted says:

Ah excellent. Thanks for the info. It’s for my 40th, so I’ve stuck that date in the middle and just grabbed them. Enjoy your trip 🙂

  • Tom says:

so confused – i thought the 747 were being retired with immediate effect?!

    • Stuart says:

It’s the number of tickets 747, not the aircraft operating.

      • Alan says:

Same here, I was totally confused – I wondered if they meant they were selling the physical CW seats before they broke up the aircraft at first! Can’t think of anywhere long haul I’d risk travelling to this year!

    • Tom says:

oh, quantity 747 – not the 747 aircraft.
      taxi for one!

    • Rhys says:

They are! BA are selling seven hundred and forty seven Club World seats (not on 747 aircraft!)

    • Mark says:

You’re not the only one. I had to read it about 3 times before it made sense!

    • AndyGWP says:

lol yeah – this got me too – was really confused!
