2,000 lucky holders of The Platinum Card from American Express are about to get themselves a very generous offer indeed – £400 of free Marriott International hotel stays.

This new offer has just launched. Only 2,000 people are able to register.

If you have The Platinum Card, I STRONGLY recommend that you look at your online offers page IMMEDIATELY. If you see this offer, click ‘save to card’. It will disappear as soon as 2,000 people have saved it.

I do NOT have this offer. It is possible that this is one for non-Londoners.

Do I really get £400 of free stays?

Yes. Here are the terms:

Spend £400 and get £400 cashback

You must stay by 23rd November

Valid at participating hotels

£400 of free Marriott hotel stays

What hotels are ‘participating’?

Not many, unfortunately. However, they are all very high end and you’re in for a treat with your free £400.

In the UK, your options are:

I live in London. This is pointless for me.

No it isn’t. Assuming that you simply don’t just fancy a change of scene, how about this?

Book the cheapest room you can find, and then spend the difference up to £400 in the hotel restaurant and bar. Go home at night if you must, then pop back to check out the next day.

Think of all the Marriott Bonvoy points you’ll earn as well.

There are numerous non-UK options too although only two German hotels are outside the UK quarantine rules.

If you are targetted for this offer, you are in for a great short break. Enjoy.

PS. On Tuesday, I hope to run another article showing the special benefits that you will get if you book via our hotel booking partner Emyr Thomas.

Got it. Thanks for the heads up.

    Yes!! Thanks Rob

Got the offer, and based in london. Clicked it in a half asleep panic since I have a few trips coming up, then realised where I’m going isnt actually covered… Guess it will be a couple of days staycation at the Westbury, checked the Langley for a 2 day stay they’ve blanked out the rest of this month and most of november. From what I can tell theres only 6 days towards the end of this offer that you’d be eligible to check in for.

One question, do I have to stay at the hotel? I note the point that the merchant has to be the hotel, but what about running up a tab in the hotel bar? would that qualify? or even the restaurant?

  • kurt says:

    Thanks, got it!

  • ChrisW says:

    Wow that’s an amazing deal!!

  • Magic Mike says:

Got it, thanks Rob! Non Londoner and prior to the zombie apocalypse, a Marriott regular.

  • Harry T says:

I’m pleased for the people who got this. I suspect I wasn’t targeted because I spent a fair bit of money at Marriott Bonvoy hotels on my Platinum card in the last few months, to hit the spend for the upgrade bonus.

    • Alan S says:

Presumably I’m the same. I was hoping £3000 spent at Turnberry might have encouraged the offer…

      • Harry T says:

They probably think that you’re already a loyal Marriott customer and they don’t need to encourage your spend! I’ve probably spent a few k too, though not all at Turnberry.

  • Pawel says:

UB7 code and got offer on main card….
